Swollen and severe pain; needed to be seen ASAP. In office the same day. Staff courteous and caring. Dr. Nelson was very professional who took time to explain my options and the procedure. Dr. Nelson has patience of a saint because I am far from an ideal patient. I was sooo nervous I think I was trembling. All fear just dissipated as he told me all will be OK. I normally feel all needles but not with Dr. Nelson, not even a pinch. Procedure went smoothly and I am out of pain. Dr. actually called that day to see how I was doing. How comforting ! Highly recommended. Deeply appreciative. Thank you, you are the best.

Not what most stated on here....From the moment eveything went awry.. I guess i was added to the schedule... and noone else knew. was rushed, no time was spent with me, I was not warmly welcomed... I felt like I was putting the entire office out by coming in! I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but... I will not return

Fortunate to have such a wonderful and caring professional in our community. I am writing to tell everyone who is reading this not to wait until things get worse because they will if you do not address the problem. I waited until i hardly could swallow. Dr. Nelson took me right away when i called. I was shaking and my face was red, swollen and hot. Very painful to the touch. I didnt know what was going to happen but as soon as I was under his care all nerves disappeared. He has an uncanny sense of calm; he certainly knows what he is doing - he took my pain away. Thank you, thank you....

I was in absoulute agony, my face was swollen so I called my dentist who said he could not help me and to see an oral surgeon--he recommended Dr. Nelson "the best and he will get you in right away". I called Dr. Nelson's office, it was late on a friday afternoon and I was extremely worried the office might be closed--well I called and yes they were closing, yet I was told "come down right now, we will wait for you"!! So I rushed over to the office and Dr. Nelson took wonderful care of me and put me at ease right away with his personable manner--I felt immediate confidence in his presence and was so thankful for his help. Dr. Nelson called me that night to check on me and saw me a few days later to make sure I was continuing to do well. I was very impressed with Dr. Nelson and his staff. It is not often that you may need an oral surgeon, but if you do, Dr. Nelson is the one!

I was a recent patient of this dentist and chose him because I needed a tooth extraction immediately due to the pain. He was available and his business is also walk-in. In the initial procedure he charged a pretty high fee, more than $450, claiming it was discounted "especially for me".
Well, since the extraction I have had severe pain in my gum that radiates to my ears and has gotten increasingly worse. Having waited after two cycles of antibiotics (one given to me by a regular doctor who I saw because I don't have dental insurance but I do have medical) I made an appointment for a couple of days later even though I had horrible pain because they said they couldn't get me in before that.
So, there was a snow storm last night. I called his office to make sure he was open but no one answered. Eventually I just drove there (over 40 minutes because of bad roads). Arriving the building had a closed sign. He sticks his head out from the top floor of the building where his office is and asks "what's up?" I tell him of my severe pain in my ears. He tells me I should go see an ear doctor. I also have a tooth close to the extraction sight with a root canal. When I say the pain is also in my gum and neck he says it must be the other tooth and to get it taken care of and closes the window on me.
1- I had a scheduled appointment which he did not honor. He did not have the common courtesy to call me to tell me the appointment was canceled.
2- He has made no attempt to help me even though a follow up for oral surgery is a general practice even if the patient is not having complications.
Needless to say I went home and cried. I can barely stand the pain and now I'm going to have to pay someone else who isn't familiar with my case, who knows how much, because the agony is so unbearable.
Do Not Choose Him!

Do Not Choose Him!

Pros: walk-in

Cons: refuses to help a patient in severe agony
