My children and I have always had a great experience at Dr. Jackie's office. The staff is wonderful and Dr. Jackie is excellent with my sometimes hesitant children. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants their kids to love going to the dentist!

Dr. Banahan's office has one of the friendliest staff's I have ever encountered at a denal office. Dr. Banahan and staff cater to children and make it a special experience for little ones.

Dr. Banahan and the dental hygienist that we saw were both VERY impatient with our scared 3 year old daughter. This was after we arrived 5 minutes early and were called back 20 minutes after our appointment time. I SUSPECT it was one of their last appointments of the day and they were behind...so our child bore the brunt of their impatience.

Things started to unravel at the beginning when the hygienist tried to take bite wing x-rays on our daughter. I have since talked to several hygienists and all of them told me it isn't customary to take x-rays on a child that small with no apparent problems. She was scared and said it was uncomfortable so she wouldn't bite the wing, so the hygienist said she "didn't have time for that, we will get you cleaned off first and try again." At this point the hygienist was really showing her impatience and frustration.

We walked to the chair and our daughter still was afraid and now upset. She didn't want to open her mouth for the pointy "tooth counter" and the hygienist decided it was best to just polish with the ELECTRIC polisher (most hygienists use a toothbrush to polish a child that small). This made it even more scary because of the noise. At this point both the hygienist and our daughter were upset and as the hygienist had her in a headlock trying to polish her teeth.

Then the dentist, Dr. Banahan, came over and tried to control the situation by getting in my daughter's face and talking her into calming down (she's crying and very upset at this point). Instead of being playful or something to help her calm down, the dentist wagged her finger in my daughter's face and told her that if she didn't "calm down she would make her mom and dad sit in the lobby." My daughter was now kicking to get get away because she's being held down and Dr. Banahan shows her frustration by telling her to "quit kicking HER furniture".

We finally had enough and left before it could progress and get any worse than it was. This was the WORST experience I've ever had. I was upset and so was my daughter and I'm worried that she may always be scared of the dentist because of this experience.

Dr. Banahan is very impatient, not thorough, and very judgemental to patients "less fortunate" than others. She bases her judgements on how much money you have, not on the level of care that needs to be provided. My daughter had a filling done in her office and a short time later it became swollen and she was in extreme pain. I called her two phone numbers she had listed for after hour emergencies and she did not return or answer any of my phone calls. I took my daughter to another pediatric dentist in town who found the tooth to be abcessed and said some of the decay was left in the tooth. This is a HUGE oversight on Dr. Banahan's part and I was still forced to pay a bill for something she did very poorly. Watch out!

My children have been seeing Dr. Jackie since they were little and she has always been great with them. I have never felt rushed during a visit. Her staff is friendly and helps put my children at ease. I highly recommend Dr. Banahan.

I had a terrible experience at this dentist office. I have never been a fan of going to the dentist and this office made it even worse. The doctor isn't very patient and it seemed to me that they don't do the best they can to make you comfortable. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place.
