Always a pleasant, prompt and professional staff. Unfortunately, I have been there for x-rays and cat scans and no complaints at all.

I just went for my level 2 ultrasound this past Friday and was very unhappy with the experience. As a previous reviewer mentioned, I had to drink 48 oz. of water, which made for a VERY uncomfortable ultrasound. About half way through, the technician told me that I could go to the bathroom, but to try to keep my bladder half full!! Can we say difficult??When I spoke with a friend who is a genetic counselor and familiar with sonograms, she told me that having to drink water is a rather old practice and most places don't require it anymore. Also, as the previous reviewer mentioned, the technician didn't even let me look at the screen and didn't even speak to me for nearly 50 minutes while my husband sat in the waiting room not knowing what was going on. I kept requesting that my husband be allowed in, but she just insisted that she just needed to get a few more readings. Then the doctor came in (Augenstein) to review the technician's results and I again asked if my husband could come in. I was again told that they just needed to get a few more readings. FINALLY my husband was allowed in. The doctor pointed out a few things to us, but it was really hard to get a good picture as I feel their equipment is pretty outdated. The doctor then informed us that they were unable to get a few readings, including the sex, the stomach and the facial profile for the lips. The doctor then said, much to our dismay, that even if there was anything wrong with the lips, there was nothing we could do about it now anyway.Needless to say, my husband and I left there very upset with our experience. I went straight to my OB's office and requested a prescription to go elsewhere. (We are able to do since they were unable to get all of the readings.)I would highly recommend Madonna Perinatal. I went there for my Ultrascreen at 13 weeks and was very happy there. My husband was in the room with me the whole time, the technician had a great bedside manner, and we saw more detailed images than we were able to see at the Ultrasound received at Drucker Genuth and Augenstein at 20 weeks. I've already made my appointment to go there for my level 2 ultrasound.

I've been there for two sonograms, and I feel that their equipment is old/outdated. In addition, for the early sonogram (not abdominal) they require you to drink 48 oz. of liquid one hour prior to the exam, which not only is much more than other practices, but the majority of sonograms done in this fashion do not even require liquids to be taken in beforehand. Either this is due to old/outdated equipment, or to the desk personnel were ill-informed.

In addition, when I went for my 8 month sonogram, the table that I laid on didn't recline, and I felt like I was going to pass out with all the pressure ontop of me. The technician, while sympathetic, wouldn't even let me look at the screen until she was all finished checking everything, nor would she let my husband in the room. I understand that she was trying to do her job w/o being distracted, but I found it unnerving I had to lay there for at least 15 minutes while my unborn baby was on the screen. She did let us look for "fun" when she was finished, but by that time all my excitement had practically vanished since I was so uncomfortable laying flat and was angry my husband and I weren't able to participate as much as I would have liked.

This is a great practice as far as Catscans, Sonograms and etc. They are very thorough and Send result to your doctor asap. The only thing is appointments are hard to get unless you have an emergency.
