.

I used to see Dr. Walker for depression. I had a very bad experience with him. Because I questioned him on something (based on information given to me by a pharmacist) he became upset with me.

Honestly, I think the issue had more to do with the fact that I had a very severe and difficult to treat case of depression. When medication did not work, he said he did not think I was really depressed, and I just expected too much. I think he was just frustrated because he couldn't help me, and I wish instead of getting angry with me he just referred me to another physician. We are all human, but when you are dealing with patients who are depressed, I think you need to be able to put your ego aside sometimes.

Anyway, I questioned him, and he got angry. Once he became upset with me, he basically left me without a doctor, coming off an MAOI, in a severe depression. This was a dangerous situation to leave a patient in. If I had to do it all over again, I would have complained to the hospital about him because I am afraid this will happen to someone else. Of course that's easy for me to say now that I am no longer in a depression. Luckily, I did find a doctor who helped me. I travel all the way to Palo Alto to see her (Dr. Gale Hylton) and it is worth it.
