Dr Pattisapu is the best pediatric neurosurgeon I have ever come across(and I've been treated by quite a few.) I'm sure that if he treated adults he would be the best there as well. Due to extreme head pain when I was young, I had an MRI done which showed I had an arachnoid cyst about the size of a baseball on the right temporal lobe of my brain when I was 8 years old. First he fenestrated the cyst which returned in short order, then he put a shunt in the cyst and eventually VP shunt in me. Due to my abnormally fibrous spinal fluid my shunts clogged and had to be replaced many, many times. Eventually the cyst drained and healed but my pain still persisted so due to evidence on my MRI's and CT scans I was diagnosed with a mild form of Hydrocephalus. He probably performed roughly 80 of about 120 brain surgeries I've had to endure, I'm currently 25 years old. He is very caring and supportive of the family. He even had a sense of humor when the going got tough. My parents brought me in to Arnold Palmer in extremely bad condition where I nearly died. He wasn't innapropriate about it, but after coming out of the operating room from performing surgery on me, he told my parents that from then on we would have to call him "Dr. Pattisa," because I had just scared the "pu" out of him. I've been through about everything under the sun connected to these conditions, have been put into medically induced comas when the situation called for it, had many seizures and more things than I can remember. This man saved my life many times and I wouldn't trust any doctor more with my life. Considering I still need regular care, it's too bad that he only does pediatric neurosurgery.

I have been a patient of Dr. Pattisapu practically all my life. I was born with Hydrocephalus caused by a scar tissue on my spinal column. My parents were told that I might not make it, and if I did, because of brain damage I would be very mentaly slow. I am 25 now. I speak 3 languages and have my BS. I am so thankfull. Dr Pattisapu has repaired and/or replaced my VP shunt a few times in my life. Everything I am today, I owe to Dr Pattisapu. He has literally held my life in his hands. I cant think of any safer place for people with my condition. Now that I am an adult... I just wish he didnt do just pediatric neurosurgery. :(

Our son was born with spina bifida and developed hydrocephalus. Dr. Pattisapu has been following him for the past 10 years. A couple of years ago, our son developed a severe infection in his shunt, which almost took his life. Dr. Pattisapu rushed to the hospital in the early hours of the morning to help. He had to remove our son's shunt. After a week on a ventilator with Iv antibiotics, our son was finally well enough to have his shunt replaced. Dr. Pattisapu performed the surgery, and we have not had any issues since.

Throughout this whole experience, Dr. Pattisapu was wonderful. Not only did he save our son, he also provided emotional support and compassion to us. He reassured us and stayed by our sides through the most frightening period.

Dr. Pattisapu is devoted to finding a cure for hydrocephalus. He has been working in the field for over 25 years and has completed research. He also teaches others and continues to work hard. Although we are not there very often, we always find the office to be comfortable and friendly. I have never doubted this doctor and when my son's life was in his hands, I felt confident that things would work out.
