--Dr. Gatell would discuss his & his wife's problem to his patients, and my daughter was witness to that.
--I have set for 3 hours waiting to see Dr. Gatell & you could hear him laughing the whole time, with whom ever the patient was he was with. This had happened many times at my visits, while there would be anywhere from 3 to 5 patients waiting to see him.
--I have went to my appt. many times and he would take patients back that I knew that their appt.'s was after my appt. & others had appt.'s before them also.
--He even gave me 2 of his Suboxone one day, out of his own prescription for me to try to see if it would help me, before placing me on the same medication that he was on.
--When my husband & I drove for the 1st time to this doc from TN, driving abt 145 miles one way, I was in severe pain in my back, neck, & all over to the point, my blood pressure was sky high. I loved this doc at 1st & I thought I finally found someone to help, who cared & understood my pain. He was prompt, took me in at the exact time of my appt. That was a shocker, but that dwindled fast.
--One day my daughter rode with me to GA to my appt, & after a 5 hr wait & on top of our 2 1/2 hr. drive there, the doc never called into his receptionist or returned her calls to even let her know, he wasn't showing up, I was sent back home back to TN another 145 miles back, & all the other patients were sent home also, only to return back that following Monday, which was another 290 miles round trip, & I was without medication that whole weekend, so I was sick the whole trip going back to see him again. Two trips to Atlanta in abt 3 or 4 days. My husband & I was furious, for those trips would kill me going back & forth.
--The next to the last trip I made to GA was the killer. The doc had sent out a patient (a pretty lil young girl in a very short mini skirt) to get a burger for him & when she returned, a man that owned his own tree cutting business in Alpharetta, GA. This man had sent his whole crew home that day & so not only did his crew have lost wages that day, so did the owner lose a whole day of pay also. This man had just driven down just to see this doc for the first time & while I was sitting in the waiting room & others was waiting also with me, I was chatting with this man & he told us he had no insurance & was having to pay in cash for all his visits & meds, so this man got very hungry while waiting to see Dr. Gatell & this man asked if we thought he had enough time to run & grab himself a sandwich (abt 75 to 100 yds. away) & we told him that he probably had plenty of time to grab a bite for himself, so he left, got his food returned & had just walked in the door & sat down, when the pretty lil girl came in the door with Dr. Gatell's food & had her something to eat also. This man had abt a bite or two maybe left on his food, when out walked Dr. Gatell to get his food, he thanked the girl & as he turned to go back into his office, he happened to see the man put a bite into his mouth & Dr. Gatell was very rude to this man (to whom was paying in cash) & Dr. Gatell told him that the sign above his head says, "No eating in this office"! In the meantime, Dr. Gatell never said anything to this pretty lil girl in the very, very mini skirt that was eating also. I left after that & I never went back to him. He was not being very fair to this man when this lil young girl was also eating, too. I was raised by two wonderful parents, to whom taught all their 6 children that you "Do Unto Others As You'd Have Them Do Unto You" I'm a firm believer in treating people the same, no matter what race, sex or religion you are, for God created us all the same. God Bless...!!!
