Dr. Cummins was the surgeon who replaced my wife's torn knee ligament. After the surgery, he left the hospital through some back doors, without bothering to talk to me, even though I sat in the waiting room for relatives for half a day. For this procedure, the average recovery time is 6-12 months, after which most people are able to even resume running and playing team sports. In contrast, 2 years later, my wife's condition is getting progressively worse. She can't walk up or downstairs, turn or even walk fast, and she's being told by other doctors she has developed arthritis in that knee. She weighs 100 lbs and is under 30 years-old: people like her are supposed to recover quickly. When we went on multiple follow-ups with Cummins, no real help was provided. He offered some pain-killers and a hormone therapy - something suitable for elderly on their way to a knee replacement, not for a young woman trying to have a family. We are no longer with this doctor. I wouldn't recommend him to others.
