.

I was a current patient when I called with a fever of over 100 to see if I could get in for treatment. I was told they could squeeze me in the next day. A good 30 hours later. I was desperate and agreed. The office is ok I guess. The people don't even look you in the eye when you walk up to the counter though or when they talk to you. The nurse that took my vitals was the only person there that was nice and seemed intelligent. I wish I knew her name. When I finally got to see the Doctor I asked him for a referral to see about getting my tonsils removed since they get enflamed, bloody, and develop what I have been told by another doctor to be tonsil rocks which is a classic case of tonsillitis several times a year. Dr. Ciciarelli at Ocean Park Medical Associates told me it wasn't my tonsils bothering me, but my Adenoids. I've been to many Doctors over several years about my tonsils and when I was still living in Mass my doctor there wanted to take them out. I couldn't afford it at the time. Dr. Ciciarelli told me I was an idiot and that my last Doctor didn't know anything. He refused to give me a referral. I know where my tonsils are. I consulted first my anatomy book from college, then a friend of mine who is a college anatomy professor, and finally another doctor all of whom confirmed that I had correctly located my tonsils. Apparently Dr. Ciciarelli needs to go back to medical school if he doesn't know where they are. He didn't even examine me and somehow knew what was wrong with me. While trying to ask him questions he dismissed me. I will never go there again. I should have known better then to go back to him after my first and only other experience being under his care. He was so arrogant he wouldn't let me talk. He just kept reminding me that he's a Doctor. It seems to me that Dr. Ciciarelli is more concerned with appearing right than actually being right. I apologize for this review being so poorly written, but I am still ill. I do know what I'm talking about though and if you value your health and want to be treated with respect I would stay very far away from Dr. Ciciarelli. I cannot speak for his partner as I have never been under his care.
