I found the receptionist to be very helpful and easy to deal with.

You don't have to wonder if Dr. Spencer is charging you differently than others; he charges any insurance company or individual the same price. The prices for his services are clearly written and available before you do anything, so you know exactly what you're getting into cost-wise.

He broke down all the differences between major brands and generics of the type of medication he proposed, including relative prices, to help me decide what the best solution would be for at the right price.

He phrases things very well in my opinion; turning things I knew little about into things easily understood. And not just by over-simplifying or generalizing. I noticed he intentionally phrases everything to be both understandable to a layperson and always technically accurate.

My problem was figured out on the first appointment, and he accurately predicted what I would experience, and the adjustments I would benefit from in the future.

It's now about 4 months later, and the only criticism I can think of is that he could be a little more personable, although I could just be saying that because while I talk most of the time he's listening and jotting down notes. I admit I don't have any other psychiatrist to compare to, but by comparing my experience with a psychiatrist to other people's experiences, I'm comfortable in recommending him to others.

Pros: Service, Quality of Care, Transparency

Cons: Office a little hard to find
