We love Dr. Ayre! He is very patient with my children and always talks them through what will be happening and shares the information with them without talking down to them. When my daughter needed a cavity filled, he allowed me to squeeze in by him and hold her hand to comfort her and talk to her while the shot was given, which helped tremendously. We have had nothing but great experiences at his office and I recommend him to my friends and family as a great dentist for children.

Dr. Ayre is actually not a pediatric dentist, he is a general dentist that specializes in children. We have had some very bad experiences with him. He told us one of my daughters had 3 cavities but they were really shallow and didn't need numbed to be filled. I took her to another dentist and he done xrays and checked 3xs and didn't find anywhere there could be a cavitiy. My other daughter had a cavity and she doesn't do very well so I asked them if we could do anything to help her. The dentist told be they would wrap her to a board with a blanket and "Grin and Bear it" The other dentist was able to give her gas and talk her through it. also Dr. Ayre wasn't going to numb her and she ended up needing a root canal. I was very unhappy with his service.

Dr. John Ayer is a pediatric dentist in West Jordan. His office is a fantastic environment for children. The office is decorated in a jungle theme. They actually have this gigantic tree house in the waiting area, which the children just eat up. They have jungle themed movies playing for the kids to watch while they get their teeth worked on. The great thing is that they get sunglasses to wear and the dental chairs are all in one room, which makes the children much less nervous. The demeanor of Dr. Ayer is fantastic. The only complaint I have is the waiting time to get in. I have waited up to an hour before, but usually 25 minutes. It seems a bit too long.
