I had tendinitis and severe pain in my shoulder, it was so bad that I felt as if I wanted to cut my arm off. Dr. John did some trigger point work, it was intense, but the pain went away in about 18 hours. I leave acupuncture treatments feeling giddy from the endorphins, and his yoga classes are fun too. I have also had massages from Michelle and they are great.

PROS: John and Michelle are two of the nicest people in their respective fields.

I have never tried the Chiropractic & Acupuncture services at In Balance. But the Massage Therapist at this clinic, Michelle Hansen, is beyond words.

During a 60 or 90 minute massage, Michelle customizes her touch to your preferences. I prefer deep tissue with strong hands and Michelle has no problem digging deep into my sore muscles. She does a full body massage, including fingers and toes.

The environment is very relaxing with gentle music, soft lighting, a bubbling fountain and a very soothing aromatherapy smells in the air and lotion.

Michelle does not stick to only traditional massage but is trained in the healing touch, prenatal massage, infant massage, and pressure points.

Conclusion: you cannot find a better massage theapist in the twin cities. Her prices are very reasonable and it will be MUCH cheaper and MUCH better than a day spa massage. Gift certificates available.

PROS: reasonable costs, flexible appointments, relaxing and revitalizing massages
CONS: cash or check only for payment
