I plan on filing a formal complaint about this but I would like to share the story here in hopes it might be helpful to someone in the future.

My elderly mother had an appt. with one of the MD's here and they did a urinalysis because we mentioned that her urine was cloudy. They NEVER called us back with a result. After a week or so, and my mom acting bizarre and out of her mind, I called them to see if she maybe had a UTI. The nurse explained that she did and that it was positive and that it was a really bad infection. She apologized that no one called us prior. If I hadn't called, we would never know until it hit her kidneys and sent her to the hospital. She said she would immediately call the pharmacy and get an Rx filled. I arrived at the pharmacy hours later and they hadn't even rec'd a call yet!! I had to call Mtn. View and tell them I was standing there waiting for it!!

We forgave on the last one, but then it happened AGAIN!! Really. My elderly mom had been acting funny and dillusional again a few weeks later and we wondered if the UTI ever cleared up totally. So, we took another sample of urine in the lab and got a call that afternoon. Nurse said it was fine but that they would culture it out and she would call me. Almost a week and a 1/2 went by this time and no call. I called them yesterday to see what was going on and she called me back. Apparantly it was "positive" AGAIN!! And again, no call from them. She tried to explain it away with all kinds of excuses, like the dr. was out 2 days, they closed early on Friday, etc. NO excuse for this!!! There have been other smaller issues not worth mentioning here, but when you need test results, don't rely on Mtn. View Medical. I don't even think the MD's are aware of what is going on here. Maybe they will understand more clearly when I file a complaint. My mom is old and loves her dr., so changing things now isn't in her best interest. I think the responsible party should be reprimanded. What is wrong with these people??!!

Mad, mad, mad in Boise.

I went here for a routine sinus infection exam, and I went to the room right away but was waiting for some time, fell asleep, woke up and I had been waiting for an hour and a half! NO ONE came in or anything. Worst system and practice in Bosie. Go Elsewhere! If you like waiting and being ignored then go here otherwise go somewhere else.

I visited their facilities and it was the WORST experience EVER. I signed up and waited in the exam room for 2 hours, the nurse was not able to even take my BP, but was able to take my temp and that was it, I actually fell asleep waiting for the doctor to come in and he never came. I then read on another site that this doctors office has called in percriptions to wrong phrmacys as well as general BAD service. Do NOT go here., unless you like waiting and stupid people. I bet the doctor dosent even know how to use a cotton swab..

I love my doctor, whom my family and I have been seeing for over 10 years.

Sadly, I may have to find a new one, due to the following:

* Every time I come/call in, I tell them my correct phone number, but the incorrect one never gets changed.

* They call prescriptions in to the wrong pharmacy. (Once for myself, once each for my mother and father).

* They write prescriptions incorrectly (twice now for me).

* They take inaccurate notes, or, cannot read their own notes. I have been asked if I am calling to renew medications I stopped taking years ago (and only took for a week at the time). They cannot remember which medicines I am taking (there's only 3).

* And most importantly: they cannot fill out forms properly. Since one of my medications is very expensive, I get it for free from the pharmaceutical company. The application is only one page, and requires a copy of my taxes and the prescription from the doctor. The first time I did it, they never mailed the form - it sat in my file for one month, until I called to ask for my medicine. The second time I did it, I made sure to attach a stamped and addressed envelope, and put sticky notes everywhere to make sure it got done correctly. This was the only time it was. The third time I did it, they wrote the prescription for the wrong dosage - I take a tab and a half, so I got the right size of pill, but not enough of them. The fourth time I did it, they didn't attach the prescription, so my application was rejected. So I went in, they wrote me a prescription, which I had to fill out-of-pocket, and preceded to wait for the shipment of my medicine. When the medicine was shipped back, there was once again not enough. They called the pharmaceutical company to see what happened. The pharm said they couldn't do anything. They called me and told me to call the pharm and try myself.

I did call the pharm... only to find out they never called, which I don't doubt because of their track record, and the fact that the pharm does their tracking by Social Security #, so I severely doubt it was lost. On top of that, the pharm told me there was no point in me calling, as they need the words of the doctor to send out medicine, and I was told that I got what the prescription was written for (again indicating the doctor's office did it wrong).

Please, don't get me wrong, I like my Doctor. Personally, he is a very nice man, and I know he cares about my family. But his staff is beyond infuriating. I have talked to them about this repeatedly. Nothing. Just pitiful "I'm sorry" looks. I have no available recourse, save to find a new doctor, and I'm not sure I have the time or money to get a new one. So, to get them to pay attention, I am doing what I can and bringing my complaint to the public. No one should suffer shoddy care because of a nursing & support staff. It makes the Doctors degree and skills look bad, which is a pity when the Doctor is actually a good man.

PROS: Nice Doctor who sincerely cares about me & family
CONS: Lack of training, skills, communication in support staff
