have never written a review like this but I feel that I must do anything I can to prevent anyone else from ever going to this practice. It began with my not being allowed to be in the room for my son's procedures which I was willing to dismiss if it meant quality care. The staff were fairly pleasant, the doctor was not. Dr. Johnson was curt, distanced and has no ability to relate to a child. It was actually quite shocking. My son would get more and more upset every time he was seen until his final visit when he actually told me that she "hit him". Since I had no proof that this was the case, I let it go thinking that perhaps he wasn't sure what had happened given that he was only 7. When all of his cavities had been fixed, I was told that I would need to follow-up with their office for routine care even though as I understood it, the referral was given by my regular dentist stating that the cavity work my son needed was beyond the regular dentist's scope of practice. I was referred to this office by my insurance company as it certainly would not have been my choice to continue going there after I experienced my first visit. I questioned why I couldn't go back to our regular dentist since the work was completed and was told that my son was now empanelled to them and had to receive his care at their office now. So I returned 6 months later for his cleaning and of course one of the fillings she put in had a small chip in it and had to be redone. One month after his cleaning, the practice received a denial on the claim for his cleaning from my insurance company stating that due to his age he could not be seen there. They didn't tell me this and simply let me come in for the subsequent filling appointment knowing that I would be charged for it because the claim would be denied. Unbelievable!!! I have never seen such unethical behavior in a health care professional and I work in a doctor's office. Now, of course, I am being charged for both visits. When I questioned their office about the insurance issues I was told that they aren't responsible for what they tell patients. It was my responsibility to call my insurance company and verify that what they told me was false information. Please, please, please do not go to this practice even if your insurance company claims this is the only pediatric dentist in their network. Show them these reviews and plead a case to be sent somewhere else for the sake of your own well being but more importantly for the sake of your child! This practice is evil.

I was very pleased with my sons treatment with Racquel Johnson. I read the reviews online after I had already made the appointment, and was a little scared to take my son due to all of the terrible reviews. I figured that most people go online to write bad reviews after they've had a bad experience rather than write a positive review because they have nothing to vent about. I was glad I followed through with the appointment because my son (who has a developmental delay) was treated with the most respect, and was very well taken care of even though he was terrified and wasn't the easiest to handle at the time. I was allowed in the room with my child, and Dr. Johnson answered any questions I had was very helpful. I would recommend Marlton Pediatric Smiles to anyone.

My kids have been seeing Dr. Johnson for over 3 years. On our first visit, I found Dr. Johnson to be assertive and direct. She is a no nonsense kind of woman, tells you what you need to hear and I I believe that she has your child's best interest as her first priority. She will expect nothing less than to give your child what they deserve( a clean healthy mouth). She expects perfection from her staff and expects that parents do their job as parents... taking care of your child's teeth are very important to her. She has always been very caring to my children and they love to go to her office. Yes, she is direct, yes her office is run efficiently, and yes, she expects the best care for your child's teeth. I think some take her directness as being rude - this is not the case. She gets the job done and I actually admire her intensity.

I must admit Dr. Johnson has her moments. I have witness some of her rudeness with her staff. But I can honestly say that care she perform on my son has been GREAT. Especially since he is special needs, she handle him very well. Ive been to elsewhere and had to change because they had no patience to care for a special needs child, and SHE DOES!!

Dr.Racquel Johnson DMD is such a great pediatric dentist she specializes in children from infants, adolescents and special need children she really takes pride in her job she really makes sure the kids are comfortable and happy before she dose service on their teeth. The office is very clean and children friendly she has flat screen tv's, toys, games etc for the kids to feel at home. The staff refers to the parents as mom and dad while in the office it's really a great place for your kids to get the dental work that they may need.
