Words can not express our appreciation for our experiencewith the physicians at this practice. My husband and I were lucky enough to become pregnant with twins. The doctors at this practice made us feel so at ease from our first appointment. They listened and responded to all of our concerns. Whenever I had a question or concern I they responded immediately. Since I required frequent visits due to having twins I saw all the doctors on multiple occasions. They were all up-to-date with my progress and delivered consistent messages. I really appreciated how well they worked together

I first went to this practice in 2003 after moving into the area and getting pregnant shortly afterwards. The office staff, doctors and nurses are all very compassionate. The compassion they showed towards me when my little girl was born still due to a placenta abruption was overwhelming (in a good way). Dr. Bellantoni wasn't even on call the day I went into labor, but came down to the OR to deliver my baby and talk to me later. I got pregnant again and Dr. Bellantoni and the rest of the staff made sure I got extra prenatal care sending me off to get NSTs and BPPs. After suffering such a devastating loss, they showed so much compassion and understanding of my fears during my following pregnancies I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

I love this practice. I started seeing the nurse practitioner, Debbie Boyd, a couple of years ago. I am a 50 year-old woman and have had a wide variety of OB/GYN physicians in the past, male and female, young and old. Debbie is by far my favorite. She is funny, informative, kind, and I never feel rushed. I was impressed from my first visit when Debbie, not a nurse or medical assistant, came to the waiting room to take me back to the exam room. I would recommend her to anyone looking for an OB/GYN.

I had the worst experience during pregnancy. I was misdiagnosed with gestational diabetes when I was eclamptic. My child and I almost died, were near death, and she had to be transported out to University of Maryland Hospital Neo-natal unit immediately. They performed a spinal tap on her and various other tests. She was not just blue when she was born, but purple all over and unresponsive. I was so swollen and had gained in excess of 100 pounds due to the fluid and blood which had collected in my body. My organs were engorged. I called every day for a month to the office to tell them to take my baby out of me because I was dying. I was laughed at and told I was just pregnant. Every time. I was so swollen I couldn't wear shoes anymore, but had to wear slippers that would stretch with my swollen feet. When they did the emergency c-section(after I called to say my water was leaking, hadn't broken), the nurses were gasping and saying, "My God. Her organs are engorged!" Another of the doctors with the practice was running between my head and the surgical site, telling me how sorry he was, telling me it would be alright. The nurses, once my daughter was retrieved, were in a panic and were yelling at each other about how many times they suctioned her, massaged her, etc. They were just upset that they couldn't get her to breathe. They did finally, thank God. I will never go to this practice again. It was horrible. It wouldn't have been anyone's fault that I had eclampsia, but I was working up until a week before I had my child! I was told later by another obgyn that I should have been on bedrest when the symptoms began which was in the 5 1/2 month range. I have had many physical problems since the birth of my child who is now 10 years old. My health is failing, and I do feel that, at the very least, if I had been directly diagnosed, I wouldn't have a problem with this office. I had gone in for monthly checks. My ph levels were sky high, much more than they should have been, and when I had gained 100 pounds in one month due to the swelling, you would have thought they would have been concerned. I was not a heavy person when I got pregnant, by the way. I rate this place as poor. Check all your doctors before committing yourself to their treatment. Just some friendly advice. I learned a valuable lesson. I should have sued, but didn't. They deserve it. Oh and my child is not free from health issues. She is treated by specialists and has had numerous issues since birth. Take care.

I am very happy with this office (they also have one in Bel Air with the same people who rotate). There is a Doctor and then a group of Ob Gyn's and a group of Midwives who all seem to work together harmoniously. For my last pregnancy I saw the Midwives. They rotate you so that you get to know all the Midwives before your due date, so no matter who is on when you go into labor, you will be comfortable with them. They deliver at Upper Chesapeake Medical center which was a comfortable and attractive facility in the Bel Air area. It didn't FEEL like a hospital which was a big plus for me. We were able to follow our birth plan and I was able to have a natural childbirth which I really wanted, but nor was the midwife above suggesting a really mild painkiller when I had been in labor a long time and needed rest. I appreciate their dedication to natural childbirth when possible, their respect for the comfort and wishes of the individual and their flexibility including the overseeing conventional medical doctor who is available if something really goes wrong. I also like the fact that once post par tum is over and you aren't seeing the midwives anymore, you can still go to the same office and familiar faces with the resident Ob Gyns who will take care of your other female needs. This is a really positive office and I would recommend it to anyone. My only complaint is that they play country music in the waiting room sometimes ;)
