.

I made an appointment with Dr Maddi in May. Just so that everyone knows, I could have seen a nurse practitioner in May at this office, but I wanted to see the actual doctor (i know, hard to believe and the nerve of me right?). So, they said that the earliest they could get me in to see Dr. Maddi would be in September, so I said OK and waited until September and when it came time for the appointment, guess what? I saw the nurse practitioner.
I explained to the nurse practitioner that I made an appointment with Dr. Maddi and he said that he would be going over things with me first. So at the end of going through the incomplete process of listening to me explain issues and printing up some scripts for what the nurse thought would be the best way to take care of my issues, I NEVER saw the doctor. Worse yet, the suggestions that I was given by the nurse, I questioned as I have had issues similar to these and the suggestions made were not like those by physicians past.
The nurse stated that he wanted to make sure that they see me in a month to see how things were going, so as we left the room I was in, he told the folks at the front desk that I was to see them in one month, all-the-while I was thinking NO, NO, NEVER!!
Of course, the people that do scheduling at the front said that they have nothing with Dr. Maddi in 1 month, but in November.........OH NO HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!!
I told them that I waited this long to see Maddi and they said that it is not typical to see the doctor on the first visit. I proceeded to explain that I made an appointment in May for September so that I could see a doctor, not a nurse. She blamed it on the fact that everyone makes the schedule and there was nothing they could do. No "sorry, we made a mistake, it will not happen again", it was all about getting me out the door with my card that said I have an appointment in November.
Someone please help me with a family practitioner in the WNY area!
