I'm in my middle fifties and for New Years I resolved to start working out for one full hour three or four times a week instead of the usual 20-minute workout every week when I remembered.

Perhaps not surprisingly I developed some of the ordinary aches and pains associated with getting serious, but I also developed a pretty severe exercise-related ache in or around my sciatic nerve that threatened to stop my workout routines entirely.

I went to Julie, who assessed the area, found chronically tense muscles (hip flexors? hip rotators? not exactly sure), and used deep-tissue massage to quickly reverse the problem.

Thanks to Julie's help, more than 10 months after last New Years I'm still able to stick to my resolution with Zumba, NRG-Bar, and even the occasional kick-boxing class three to five times a week!
