The office staff is very friendly and helpful with billing issues. Also, the after hours answering service is very good. We had to call late one night and got right through to the doctor. She was also willing to work with me on an alternative vaccination schedule so that my son would get all of his vaccinations, but at a slower pace, which I appreciated. The time I had to call the nurse to ask a question, she was very helpful.

That being said, I find that both the nurses and the doctor are a little out of touch with where pediatric care is today. I don't think they've updated their knowledge much over the last 15 years or so, and I frequently have the feeling that I don't get the correct information or all of the information I need unless I happen to ask all of the right questions. I will often ask a question, have it answered by the doctor, and then find in my follow up questions that her original answer omitted essential information. What if I hadn't done my research ahead of time and known which questions to ask? It's true that any parent needs to take responsibility for his/her child's health and do research as needed and ask questions, but I don't like feeling like if I don't research every last thing ahead of time, and check out the answers I've been given when I get home, I might end up making the wrong choice for my child.

Sometimes when I've been there, I feel like the doctor is listening to me and answering my questions, and other days she rushes me through and will literally be muttering a vague response to my question as she's walking out of the room.

They claim to be very supportive of breast feeding, but the first second my child wasn't gaining weight as quickly as they wanted, they told me I needed to put him on formula at least one time per day and that there was no other option. I also told them that I was producing plenty of milk (too much at times), and yet she kept going on and on about my inadequate milk supply and how since I wasn't making enough, I needed to use formula. Whenever I would ask questions about breast feeding, the answers I got were incredibly vague and almost always leaned toward, "Maybe you should give him some formula."

Also, half the time when I call there and press the prompts to make an appointment or reach the front desk, they don't work and I can't get through to anyone. For some reason, I call back later and it works. Very annoying to have to call more than once to make an appointment.
