Approximately 2 and one half years ago, I was feeling extremely tired and exhausted for most of the day. I would awakwn each morning, sit on the edge of my bed and cry wondering "how" I would make it through the day's work. I deteriated to the point to where I could no longer work. I began to have double vision, difficulty maintaining my balance, and lost my voice.

During this time, Dr. Iveson would call me at home to check on me and one time advised me to go to UMC to be seen by a Neuromuscular Specialist. This "specialist" told me on a Saturday night that I had "either ALS or Myasthenia Gravis" and to call her office on Monday to make an appointment. This "specialist" also advised me that I would have to wait a month or so to see her, adding "You've waited this long-you can wait another month".

When I arrived home on this Saturday night after being callously discharged by the "specialist", Dr. "I" called me and told me not to worry that she would talk to the specialist and get me in sooner. Dr. "I" got me in to this "specialist" the next week!

After 16 months of frustrating office visits and hem-hawing by yet another so called "specialist", PLUS gaining 55 pounds on Predisone which I NEVER needed, Dr. "I" suggested that I go to Barrow's Neurological Clinic in Phoenix. I was told at Barrows that I DID NOT have Myasthenia but rather Idiopathic Neuromuscular Disease...

During this entire time (for 16 months) whenever I had various and sundry infections due to the Predisone, Dr. "I" would see me on the day which I called, without hesitation.

I have nothing but respect for Dr. "I" and her current staff. She has been there for me and stood by me during the darkest months of my life.

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. "I". I come from a medical family and I can tell you straight up that other doctors would have "shown me the door" when a diagnosis was as difficult to find as mine.

I would and have recommend her to anyone.

I went to Dr. Iveson for the first time a few months ago because I had issues with my period. She asked me a few questions and then with absolutly no examination sent me on my way telling me there was a good chance I had a growth of some sort and gave me the number to another Doctor who couldnt see me for another month. I was scared to death so I went to an OB/GYN that could see me the next day. The OB/GYN listened to me tell her the exact same thing I told Dr. Iveson and told me I was most likely fine. That because I am so young is why I was having issues. SHe preceded to run tests just to be safe. And I was fine.

I called Dr. Iveson again yesterday because I was having problems with my birth control that I had just started (I wasn't having my period). I wasnt very worried because I have always had light periods, and relayed that to Dr. Ivesons office. They told me that it wasn't normal and there was probably something wrong with me. They insisted that I miss work the fallowing day to see my OB/GYN. My OB/GYN didnt even have to do an exam. Told me that it is really very normal to have no period at all on birth control when you had a light period to begin with.

Dr. Ivesons Office has caused me nothing but fear and countless tears. If you want a doctor who won't listen to you and will scare you, then Dr. Iveson is for you. If you want someone who cares, go someplace else

I met Dr. Iveson because someone recommended her to my Mother. My Mother doesn't like going to see doctors and doesn't trust them very much, but she liked Dr. Iveson right away. My Mother felt she could call and talk to the staff and Dr. Iveson if something was wrong. Both the staff and Dr. Iveson treated my Mother with kindness and with attention to detail that made the difference, literally, between life and death for my Mother on two occasions. Now I too, see Dr. Iveson. She has helped me Immensely! When she has had to send me out to specialists, (about 5 of them now) all but one has been Absolutely Wonderful. Like Dr. Iveson, they too are kind doctors with good listening skills, able to talk with me about my diagnoses and what treatments were available. All are also extremely thorough in their testing and in explaining to me what the testing was for. You could tell, just like Dr. Iveson, they cared about their patients and our quality of life. Not only is Dr. Iveson great in her practice, but also likes to surround herself with like-minded doctors and specialists. She makes it easy to discuss even your most embarrassing health problems, will take you seriously and dig to find out what is wrong with you! Dr. Iveson gets my highest rating!
