I have been to see Dr Bortlloti at Your Family Doktors and she has always been very professional. Her office staff is courteous and timely. I would recommend this doctor.

I started seeing Dr. Bortallotti a couple of years ago. I have never waited 15 min. past my appointment time. The Doctor has listened to me and has found a life threatening problem that was caused by a prior doctors lack of followup on statin medication. I have moved to NW Houston and continue to drive 40 miles to see her. If she is not availible the other Dr's have taken care of me. In light of the changes in our health care systems I can not complain. I fine the staff is busy but has always taken care of my request or need. She also refered me to a great specialist to treat my condition.

As soon as I walked into the office she started talking about current politics, I found her comments very upsetting and unprofessional. I went there for a checkup and she was ranting about the president, healthcare, politics and even religion. This went on for over a half an hour. I went for a yearly checkup, she looked in my ears, throat and asked me about medications. Not a great physical and I was upset all day. My husband had an appointment next week which I cancelled. One of her office staff said she had really changed in the last few months and everyone has noticed it. I used to see her a few years ago and thought she was a good doctor but i think she's gotten more than a little radical. I would never go back to her. Her office staff and the phlebotomist were very nice and professional.

Around the beginning of July, I was extrememly sick and I shouldn't have even come to work. ...by 8:30, I was on the phone trying to find a doctor. A co-worker had referred me to this doctor. When I called, the girl was quick to say they wouldn't take a first time patient for 3 weeks. When I said I was referred, they asked by whom. When I told them and they verified the person, they said they could get me in at 2. I went ahead and booked the 2pm.
I called around to more places and reached someone else that could get me in a 9:30, so I took that appointment. I called Dr Hansen's office to cancel and the line was busy. I called several times and still... busy. (I've read more reviews at this site and others that say they have had experienced their busy line) ...so I went to my 9:30 appointment (at the other place). When I got out, I called Dr. Hansen's again and still...busy. So I gave up.
At 2:05, I received a call from Dr. Hansen's wondering where I was. I explained to the person what happened...and how I tried calling to cancel. She said okay and bye. ...real short. Not so unpleasant.
Today, I called Dr. Hansen's to get an appointment for my son...2 weeks away. After we stayed on the phone for about 5 minutes, discussing what I needed...she asked my name and who I was referred by. She put me on hold. ...for 3 minutes! ...to come back and say, rudely, we've marked your name in our system as denied. You were a no-show and the doctor refuses to see you.
My jaw dropped! I was like... excuse me!? ...just like that.?!
I explained what had happened that day...and she said.. it was the doctor that noted your record....so it won't be changed.

I told her, so if anyone misses their appointment, this is how they are treated? ...even though it was because your phone lines that I couldn't get through.

I'm just glad I didn't go...especially if that is how they treat people. After reading reviews, it seems like either the doctor's have no clue that their staff is treating patients terribly, or they have poor management. ...and in my experiences, all fingers usually point to the management.

Pretty sad.

Pros: I've heard Dr. Hansen is a great Doctor

Cons: The appointment setters are extrememly rude

Too bad this practice has the typical office management problems faced by many smaller doctors' offices. They have staff who take short cuts and do not really understand the ins and outs of A/P & A/R. Proper registration is key to correct billing but they chose to staff their office with people who do knot know how to follow basic accounting principles or procedures.

The office staff is lacking in basic customer service which negates the fine services of the medical personnel: the caring doctors and nurses. It is a real shame when the gatekeepers are such that they keep from you wanting to see your doctor.

I have been going to Dr. Hansen for a few years now and I really like her as a person and professional. Her staff is good except for a few select people but they don't "spoil the bunch". When she is not available I have seen a few other doctors in the group and they have also treated me well. Overall I have had a pleasant experience and would continue to recommend their services. It is very important to be treated well when you don't feel well...She understands that.

I first went to see Dr. Hansen after a friend recommended her about 10 years ago and she is still my personal physician! She?s seen me thru minor illnesses and thru cancer with the same personal, friendly, matter-of-fact attitude that is lacking in so many doctors; she?s not afraid or unwilling to connect with her patients. The friendly office staff has always been great about insurance claims, appointments, returning calls, forwarding messages, calling in refills and following up with test results.
The only down side is the seating in the waiting room; the seating is really uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. It?s just a good thing that no one has to sit there for long! :-)

I have been going to Dr. Hansen & the rest of the staff at Family Doktors for years. They accept many forms of insurance, see you in a timely manner & keep up with your personal medical files accurately. They are very friendly & knowledgeable & they always take time to chat out the details of your illness, from pink eye to PAP smears, they have been there for me!

you just have to experience it for yourself. Tired of waiting an hour to see a doctor ? Go see Dr. Hansen, Dr Bortolotti or any of the other doctors there. You will be called in before you even finish filling up your paperwork. Very supportive doctors and always available when you need them for urgent matters.
