We attribute the success of our 3 adoptive children to Kathy Ramos in which she has been a vital part of our family adoption. Her professional abilities as well as her experience has help to guide us as we work through the different and sometimes difficult transitional stages in getting to know and understand our children needs and emotional behaviors. She assisted us during those times which we were reforming them so that we could all adjust to become a happy and productive family. Our first daughter came to us at 10 years of age. We faced many adolescences challenges, in addition to her dealing with the personal rejection of her biological mother. Today our daughter has grown up and is currently 19 years old. She has grown to be beautiful amazing young women and has adjusted remarkably. In 2009 we expanded our family by adding a sibling set a little boy 5 years and girl 6 years. Today they are 9 and 11. Once again, Kathy worked with them, as well as with us assisting us on how to better understand the stages these children were at and what we could do to help them both individually grow and adjust to their new family environment. Through a Bridge Builders program, Kathy has worked in our home to assist us in our home setting helping the children to adjust. She has also assisted us working with the childrens school psychologist. In any case, Kathy has always made herself available whenever she was needed. Recently our older daughter just started attending college and were happy to say that she has decided to pursue being a psychologist with the intention of working in the Social Service System. When speaking to our daughter, she mentioned to us that it is because of Kathys direct influence on her growth and development and she realizes how Kathy has helped her and has made a direct impact on her life. Our daughter followed up by sharing that she wants to be able to help others in similar adoptive situations just as Kathy has helped her. What a beautiful testimony and a tribute to Kathy Ramos. I wanted to share this because too often people especially professionals like Mrs. Ramos has no idea how she is changing her patients and families lives.

My children and I have been patients of Kathy Ramos for about a year. My teenage daughter was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder. Kathy has done and is still doing an amanzing job. She is very caring and always available when we have neeed her assitance. I am very grateful and thankful to have her in our lives. She is an amanzing person and therapist. I recommend anyone who is looking for a therapist to go to her- she is very smart and is goes otu of her way to make sure your mental health is taken care of.

Kathy Ramos was assigned to me by the County. My wife and I are in the process of adopting and because I was abused by a step-parent, the County felt it would help our Homestudy look good if I had some Therapy even though our social worker said I didn't need it. Kathy Ramos is very prideful, stuborn, and biased. She was not willing to look at things differently then what she is used to. Even though I forgave my parents for what had happened, and we have had a good relationship for over 20 years, Kathy wanted to ask for an extension which would have prolonged our adoption for another 4 months. She even threatened to put me at the back of the line for therapy if I did not continue seeing her, prolonging our wait. I met with the County and complained about Kathy and they agreed with me, and cancelled the sessions.
