1) I can get an appointment pretty much when I need one, including in the morning and on a Saturday

2) If they say my appointment is at 9 am, they take me at 9 am - very rare that I've ever waited more than a minute or two after my appointment time.

3) They are decisive with their care and diagnoses - I've had them say, "you're fine - don't worry about that" or "you need to fix that" many times - they are confident and know what they're doing. They also take the time to explain and answer questions.

4) They're fast - for a cleaning I'm usually in and out in 15 minutes - they must be doing a good job - I haven't had any major dental problems since going to see them.

5) They don't hurt - the care I've received from them has been absolutely pain free.

I've recommended probably 10 or 15 friends/colleagues to this clinic over the years - everybody I've sent there has been happy as far as I know.

I don't even worry really about which dentist they give me - I've never had a bad one there.

I should have known better after visiting Dr. Ingber's website, as it proclaims him as one of the "finest dentists in America". But I had Dr. Porvaznik do my orthodontia and assumed Dr. Ingber would be a competent general dentist. I was sadly mistaken, and you will be too.

I went to him to have a crown placed on one of my teeth, which decayed due to negligence on my behalf. There was nothing complex about my situation: no misalignment, no horrid discoloration, no missing teeth, no additional decay, etc. But for some reason Dr. Ingber performed at the level reminiscent of an amateur practitioner.

First, he poorly placed a temporary crown. I do recognize that temporary crowns aren't expected to be perfect, but there's a big difference between feeling a little bit of friction/rubbing and feeling like the crown is protruding well above my other teeth.

Second, he let a dental assistant (he has 14) place my permanent crown, which might explain why she dropped it down my throat. As a result I had to have another temporary crown placed while I waited an additional two weeks for the laboratory to create another (but before doing so, Dr. Ingber gave me rubber gloves and asked me to examine my stool).

Third, he poorly placed the permanent crown, having to repeatedly shave it until he drilled through the enamel and reached metal. Rather than admitting the crown did not fit and that another one was needed, he offered to shave my upper tooth (making an excuse that they had shifted since the impressions were taken). I left his office with the misfit crown and sought out another dentist, who finished the job in less than three weeks.

I think Dr. Ingber at one point might have been a truly fine dentist but since then has significantly compromised the integrity of his practice.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. Dr. Ingber does not know how to properly place crowns and does not work with patients well. His also flirts with his assistants in front of patients and I have has assistants complain about the unprofessional conduct performed on patients and employees. Dr. Provaznik and Dr. Ingber has put shame to the dental industry.

if you want to pay for services and not receive them or deal with utter incompetency and outright dishonesty, then this is the place for you to go.

Dr. Ingber is loves his work and is dedicated to offering his patients the highest quality service. He is a health educator as well as provider, and he describes his observations, answers questions, offers considered recommendations, and then respects his patients' choices and works with them for an optimal outcome. Best of all, Dr. Ingber promised at my first appointment, 30 (?) years ago, that he'd do everything he can to assure that treatments are not painful, and he's been true to his word. So even the reluctant or timid dental
patient will be pleased with the care and attention Dr. I takes to assure patient comfort as he spares no effort to assure continued good health.

My first visit to your office was around 1984, 5 or 6. I was having really bad headaches, nausea, etc. From the moment I opened my mouth, you diagnosed my TMJ?and fitted me with a temporary mouth guard. I walked out of your office a new person. You suggested braces, I had a slight under bite and sent me to Dr. Raina (sorry for the miss-spelling?I??ve forgotten her name) for a consult. You, the ortho and the surgeon met to decide braces or surgery to realign my jaw. The former was decided and I ended up wearing braces for five years. My treatment went very well, I have attached two photos for you to see the outcome?20 or less years later (see my beautiful smile).

I never had a chance to say thank you for your patience with me paying my bill on time each month, but you never refused to complete my treatment?I was young!!! I am sure you may not remember me, but I was one of your very satisfied patients with the care you provided. I was online looking for a top dentist in Atlanta and came across your name. I was so pleased and wanted to send this note to you. I would like to say hello, my contact information is below if you have time?Take Care!

In addition to being an outstanding dentist in every respect, Dr. Ingber completely cured me of my phobia about having my teeth worked on.

This was not a little phobia. One day my mouth was all full of hardware and a dental dam or two. Ken had been completely gentle, calm, and reassuring, but the leftover phobia from my pre-Dr. Ingber days got the better of me. I claimed I had to go to the bathroom and was halfway down the block--with my mouth full of all this stuff!--before my husband caught up with me and brought me back. This is a true story. Ask Ken.

Then Ken got the idea to use hypnosis on me. I was game, and from the first time Ken hypnotized me, it revolutionized my time in his office. Now I feel perfectly calm, happy, and relaxed. There is absolutely no pain. In fact, we no longer have to use Novocain. I think Ken has done some pretty deep drilling while I was hypnotized, but to tell you the honest truth, all I feel is a little vibration, if anything. Hypnosis has worked far better on me than the Novocain ever did. It's really quite amazing.

The fear completely vanished the very first time we used hypnosis. Now I simply look forward to going in for appointments and seeing my friends, and I always have an extremely positive and pleasant experience. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Ingber and his wonderful staff.

When you can trust that your dentist will be available ?? even on a Sunday morning when you suffer a broken tooth the night before ?? you know you have found the right one. When you can trust that your treatment decisions are based on good, sound and sensible advice based on your personal needs, you have found the right one. I certainly found the right dentist in Dr.Ingber.

As someone who has had a considerable amount of dental work and who works with the public, I understand the value of a healthy and attractive smile. So, when I moved to Washington DC and was referred to Dr. Ingber, I new right away that I was in good hands. Of course, the fact that he has the best and most eclectic collection of CDs and a wry sense of humor helps as well.

I am delighted to have the opportunity to recommend him with this public endorsement
