I think this other reviewer is writing a review for the wrong person. This is the complete opposite of any experience I've had with this dentist, and I'd seen many different dentists before I found Dr. Sloane. He's the total opposite of what's written in the other review.

I recently moved to NJ and was looking for a new dentist for myself and my family. The couple who we purchased our home from said they went to Dr. Sloane several times and he seemed ok. I had been seeing my previous dentist for about five years and NEVER had a cavity. I went for my regular cleanings every six months and was never told I had any periodontal issues. Dr. Sloane examined my xrays and determined that I had severe periodontal disease, needed 3 crowns and possibly two root canals. Of course I was shocked, and completely upset with his condescending tone and attitude. I went for a second opinion to another dentist in Bergen County and was given a clean bill of dental health. This new dentist had his hygienist, who also works for a periodontist, evaluate my gums, and she told me my gums were in excellent condition and I had ZERO periodontal issues. The new guy told me I had no decay on any of my teeth that would require me to have crowns, let alone root canals. Dr. Sloane and his poorly trained staff should be ashamed of themselves.
