I went to Dr. Hughes after losing over 30 pounds and wanted to take the excess skin left by the weight and 4 babies. Dr. Hughes and his wife treated me like I was family making me feel welcome and confident. I am diabetic and it has been a struggle to lose the weight but finally after achieving a healthy weight goal I wanted to be myself again and he gave me that and more. On the day of the surgery he took my moms hand and mine and pray before the procedure. That's when I knew this doctor was like no other I ever met. I am very happy with my results and the treatment I received from him and his wife. He never push himself on me trying to get me to do more than what I needed and he worked with me thru the whole process.

When I decided to have my breast enlarged I went to several doctors for consolts.. I was a size 31 AA Yea training bra like at 30! After I left Dr, Hughes office I realized he was the only doctor that seemed real to me. I had surgery wanting to have 400 cc silicone implants under the muscle, While He advised I may want to stick with the 360 or so due to my small frame and skin type... So after a long long thinking process I LEFT IT IN HIS HANDS.. I ended up 360 cc silicone under the muscle.. And I am so happy I trusted his judgement. I am very satisfied with the results, You have to keep a realistic mind frame when having prociedures like this done. A lot of people are just never satisfied with anything. If i had to do it all over again I WOULD AND DO IT THE SAME!! Thank you and your wife for changing my life.. I feel like a women now!

I had breast implants in 2005 by Dr. Hughes in Texas. We relocated to NC in 2010 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and need a mastectomy with reconstruction. We needed to know the size of my implants. We called 3 times and sent 2 faxes requesting my records. We never got a response. I consider that very POOR ethics. Makes you wonder they are hiding something. That or he has a REALLY bad office staff.

His wife called and harrassed; and when the patient sought additional medical treatment, and the Doctors tried to contact Kent Hughes regarding the patient, he would not return their calls. Be very cautious.

After having been to Dr. Hughes for implant replacement surgery, I had a problem, several years later. I went to him to consult, as to why I had become suddenly misshapen. He and his staff sent me on a wild goose chase to get a test, that after at least 25 calls, I found that only a handfull of hospitals in the state perform, and would have cost several thousand just to get. I suspected that there had been another rupture. He told me I might have a tumor. I had a breast ultrasound, which proved most helpful. While it ruled out any tumor, it could not say where the loose silicone came from, difinitively, so surgery was the only answer. The lump was from the massive amount of silicone that Dr. Hughes left behind when he did the replacement surgery 9 years ago. There was so much on one side, it had "pooled" into a lump that was pushing the implant up into my chest..almost turning it sideways.
There was also residual silicone in the other breast. I went to another surgeon, had the surgery to replace the implants, thinking they were ruptured, but found out the real story....and got all the silicone cleaned out. I kept trying to get some help from Dr. Hughes and his staff to help me see if I had any coverage from warranties that would help reimburse for the surgery, and all they did was keep saying they were looking for information, and that my files had been archived. I suppose no legalities were breached, but, I would never send anyone to this office for anything. I went to him asking for help and advice and went away thinking I had breast cancer...no good doctor does that to a patient.
