.

I was Dr Peterson's patient for about 2 years, until I moved and her office was no longer convenient for me.

I initially chose Dr Peterson as my primary care physician because she had been recommended by a friend, who had also had Dr Peterson recommended to her by another friend. Indeed, I've gone to see Dr Peterson during flu season and seen half a dozen people from my social circle on the sign-in list for that morning. On the down side, it can be really difficult getting in to see her on short notice, when you have an emergency. (Although one of my friends had success with simply showing up first thing in the morning, with no appointment.)

Dr Peterson shares a large office suite with other doctors in a very nicely appointed office building in Manhattan's East Side. You need to give your name to the security guard in the building lobby to access the elevators that will take you up to the office. The waiting room is very plush and what I consider typical for this neighborhood of Manhattan.

Dr Peterson is definitely a believer in prescribing medicine only if it is absolutely necessary. No over-prescribing antibiotics for every little sniffle here! That said, it is weird to be sitting in her exam room, reading a printed sign about how she does provide Botox services. But I guess that's just par for the course for her location on Manhattan's East Side.
