My sole purpose for spending time to write this review is so that no one one should go through what I've suffered due to Mr. Wong's treatment.
I first went to see Kevin Wong, the chiropractor, for my tension headache and neck tension as I had just stopped taking a medication for the last 10 yrs.. I thought it was a god-sent remedy as I wanted none of any more chemicals in my body. In retrospect, I was better off just taking some Tylenols and it would have been more than efficient.
During my first visit, Mr. Wong told me that it would take him a couple of visits to let me know the treatment plan. During my second visit, I was told that my treatment would be an "aggressive" approach. My neck and shoulders were cracked each time I came. My visit was two to three times a week, which I thought was rather more frequent than necessary. I finally asked Mr. Wong what was the treatment plan as far as the duration was concerned? He hesitantly, after some prodding, responded a month time ( at that time, I had already seen Mr. Wong for a month.) My neck and shoulders started to become very sore and one day after lifting a dumb bell of only three lbs., I injured a ligament in my shoulder.
I called Mr. Wong's office to let him know what was going on and subsequently I told him I did not want any more cracking done. He told me that I should come in for an evaluation which I did, but no evaluation was done. Mr. Wong simply told me to come back for another visit within that week so he could loosen the tightness in one of the muscles in my neck ( as it turned out it was a tendon that started to swell...)
I was starting to think what could he do any more than what had already been done to me? I was miserable due to all the soreness and pain I felt every moment from the time I woke up to the time I went to bed. My right shoulder was injured so I could not even do anything for fear I would damage it further. The only time I felt normal or o.k. was when I put ice all over my neck and shoulders so I could not feel the pain. I was doing this two times a day for one to two hours everyday up until now.
I finally when to see my GP doctor and found out that my neck and shoulder tendons were all inflamed because they were all over-worked ! The doctor prescribed anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxant and now after a month and a half I am still in pain and can't do anything which requires too much muscle use. Next week I'm scheduled to go to a physical therapist.
I called Mr. Wong to let him know what my doctor had told me and that I was not coming in any more. He offered to treat my inflammation with laser light but I could not accept as I no longer trusted him. What started out as a simple neck tension and headache now turn into a misery for me.

I am sure Mr. Wong with all his credentials, is a very cable chiropractor as he even teaches to other colleagues. What I fail to understand is why I am in this state and If I had not told him to stop, where would I be today and how much worse would it get?

Does Mr. Wong know the differences between neck and feet and that you cannot crack a neck the same way you do on a foot? And is Mr. Wong seeing me as a person or just a number of visits on his accounts receivables ledger?

If you have neck and shoulders problem, you may want to reconsider visiting this office as you may end up having some very serious problem than you start out with.

It has been over a year and I am still in pain with my neck and shoulders and I found out that he had injured my nerves. I still can not even use my right arm for house chore as my right shoulder still hurts. I just hope that eventually the nerves will heal through time, as my doctor said there is nothing I can do for now. The physical therapist told me I was lucky that Mr. Wong had not caused permanent injury to my central nerve, I would be paralyzed as he had seen in a more serious case caused by another chiropractor.! I would never trust a chiropractor again, particularly this guy.

If he tries to sell you a pillow, make sure you need one first.

Unlike some chiropractors who are, so obviously, cash machines, he is very careful to evaluate patient needs and then offer treatment. His adjustments are careful and surprisingly gentle. He has helped my entire family with a variety of issues and one gets the feeling that he is more concerned with your welfare than his own.

He & his staff are friendly, accommodating and easy to work with. Over the years, I've tried a number of chiropractors in various cities and certainly rate Dr. Wong among the top.

The reason I love Dr Kevin Wong is that he listens to you and THEN he goes to work to better help you live a pain free happy life. Dr. Wong uses every bit of knowledge he has to work for your well being. He has a "hands-on" practice that allows him to see your recovery.

After four spine specialist recommended surgery to help me, I went to see Dr. Wong as a last resort. He is super among all chiropractors that I have gone to. He has helped me ditch my meds for pain, my walker and now I use my cane about 10% of the time, still working the dump that "ole cane" forever!

His specialty is to realign your whole skeletal structure starting with your feet .With this realignment it helps to "fix" your body the way it was meant to be. I'm not sure I'd be walking right now if it weren't for Dr. Wong. I trust him completely with my health and well-being and I know he will always find a way to relieve my pain and get me moving again. I highly recommend Dr. Wong, he is friendly and professional, you can sense he cares about his patients. His staff is up-beat and very friendly as well.
