A+++++ No complaints! I recommend Distinctive Dental hands-down.
My whole family has received first class treatment. We have never had to wait for our appointments & have always been treated kindly. Procedures are explained thoroughly-including the billing & any additional questions.
Most importantly, Dr. Grimm is extremely gentle...even my 3yr old agrees! She had to have cavities filled and didn't even know she had a shot!! Very impressive!
(She now claims to want to be a dentist when she grows up.)
They are absolutely fantastic with children!
There are 7 people in my family...we have had many procedures... From routine cleanings to crowns, root canals, tooth extractions, and fillings. I'm pleased to say that we are all highly satisfied with the quality of professional treatment we have received.

I became a patient of Dr. Grimm's because he takes my insurance, and I must say I'm very pleased I did. I had many issues with my teeth: an old mercury filling needing replacing, a tooth needing root canal therapy and a crown, among other things. These were all done well, and my teeth look and feel great. It looks like my teeth have never had any issues!
Dr. Grimm himself has a fantastic dry sense of humor that really lightens the mood. He's to the point, and will explain his reasoning behind his treatment plans clearly. I recommend him.

My son has seen Dr. Grimm several times for different dental issues. I appreciated him at first. He took the time to take care of a tooth that needed immediate attention, being on medicaid this was hard to get a dentist to do.
However, I did not like that I the mom was made to feel like an intruder when attempting to check on my child. I also did not like having to pay for the mouth piece for the gas, I have never heard of this before and treatment could not happen without it.
We had an hour drive to make it up to this office from where we live. I do have to say that it is my or our fault for being late most times, but even if only by 5 min. they would not treat my son. Or, they would make the apt to see him since a tooth the dr. had worked on was bothering him- but they would not treat it the same day. The gas and time I wasted going up to this office was ridiculous!
When my son had dental work done and was sent home with pain meds and given an emergency number incase of problems, we quickly found out that the emergency number means NOTHING! One of his children answer the call, take a message and call you back to let you know nothing can be done.
The quencher, the prior to our last visit we were no more than 5 min late, they would not see my son!
Today, we were not late, we were in Brighton, having spent the time and gas to get there- only to be told they tried to call us, left us a message and sent us a registered letter ( of which we still do not have) to tell us they were cancelling the apt.
I am so disappointed in this dr! What a terrible man and doctor to leave a child in such pain with a tooth that HE worked on with us being there for an apt we made a week prior when he was not seen because we were 5 min late. Even with us right there they would not budge.
Well that is ok Dr. Grimm. My son will be seen by a dentist this coming Tues. I do hope he is given more respect and care at this office. I will be paying in cash. I have learned you get what you pay for! Dr. Grimm only sees his medicaid patients on Thursday- ONLY! Do not bother him any other time if you are a medicaid patient!

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Grimm and his staff. I had dental work done at a different dental office and by the time I was scheduled to leave on my vacation I was in immense pain. I called Distinctive Dental and they were able to get me in that afternoon! Dr. Grimm took the time to carefully and thoughtfully explain to me what I needed and why, then proceeded to gently fix the problem. My tooth felt fantastic within a day and my vacation went off without a hitch!

Dr. Grimm is an overall fantastic dentist. He is extremely gentle and professional. I went to see him with a tooth desperately in need of a root canal. I'm so glad I went! Since then, I have had my teeth cleaned and cavities filled. I also scheduled my children for appointments. They enjoyed being taken care of and fussed over. He is excellent with the little ones- they didn't even feel the shots when they had fillings! My 6 year had to have a tooth pulled and never even complained of any pain. I was always able to quickly schedule appointments and had no problem with any of the staff or with insurance/payment plan. We all enjoy talking to Linda too. I recommend this dental practice hands down.

To be fair, I will start with saying I was pleased with Dr. Grimm's work, especially for a Medicaid Dentist(Only for Children).

My frustration began with the highly rude office staff. I overheard a phone conversation the receptionist, I gathered the patient was calling to reschedule, and the receptionist was telling her that she was not rescheduling again(After an assumed excessive amount of reschedules). It was spoken rudely, as often is the case with this office. I only bring this up, as I know that we are not the only patients treated this way.

We drove an hour before our move, and an hour and a half after our move, for this office, with a Van nearing 200,000 miles, 3 kids, one being autistic and ADHD. It was a thoroughly frustrating experience, as appointments had to be booked weeks in advance(Emergency appointments, BTW), and for Medicaid patients, Only on Thursdays(No exceptions). There was no understanding if you were not right on time. There was one particular occasion where I RACED out of the Van, once in the driveway, as I was told we would not be seen if we were one minute late. Mind you, this particular time, our Van had broken down, so a Family friend who lives 40 minutes from me (A two hour drive total), was kind enough to help. And there was no consideration, no understanding. The woman at the front desk were downright rude. I have been to numerous dentist office's(Not to mention countless Doctor's, Allergist, Chiropractor, etc.), and NEVER have I been treated in such a way.

Most recently, we had an appointment today(Thursday, as always), for a tooth that had me in extreme pain(This appointment was a reschedule, as we were late to the previous appointment, and drove all the way to Brighton, only to have to reschedule). This was in fact the third reschedule. The second reschedule was, due to the fact that I called and left a message, saying that I wanted to make sure that if I came they would be able to treat(And only come if they were able to treat), and when we called later that Morning, they claimed I had left a message and canceled(Which I hadn't). When I told her I had not canceled, and clarified what I did say in the message, she said "She was not going to argue with me". Again, it is the way in which Dr. Grimm's staff says things. Not to mention there was not an argument to be had, all she had to do was listen to the message!

So, we drive an Hour and a Half, are Early(for this third reschedule), for an appointment, that was canceled without our knowledge. They have all three of our numbers. Not one call, not one voicemail.

They know we just drove an Hour and a half, and refuse to see me, for a tooth that has me in horrid pain. Needless to say we are never going back again.

I let her know I would be posting a review, after this experience, and she went on to threaten a Libel suit if I posted a negative online review.

I am in disbelief. Never before have I seen such an incredibly rude staff.

I have always been an anxious dental patient. Tracey and the front desk staff were so understanding and caring that I was soon able to relax. When I met Dr Grimm for my first consultation and subsequently as well, he also was very reassuring and professional. After my first appointment I stopped using the nitrous to relax. I feel I will be able to achieve success with the care plan Dr Grimm has laid out for me. It is a combination of realism, esthetics and long term rehabilitation, but it will give me my smile back. Very happy patient!

My daughter and I have gone to Dr. Grimm since he established his practice in Brighton. I find that he and his staff are friendly, efficient and highly competent. Dr. Grimm has done quite a few necessary procedures on my teeth, and his work is excellent.

He clearly wants to get the most out of your pocket. It is such a shame that our experience with him was so bad, as the staff is very helpful and friendly - if we didn't have to deal with him, we would have stayed.

I severed the relationship when he told me that I needed yet more dental surgery done "after [I] popped that baby out."
