I'd highly recommend Dr. Khorram. Her office is clean, inviting and comfortable. She is easy to talk with, asks thoughtful questions, and provides fantastic insight, ideas, and solutions to problems. She helps a patient see themselves and the world more clearly. And, she truly care about her patients; it's more than a job for her. Tools I've learned from working with Dr. Khorram have helped me to change the way I think, to change harmful behavior and thought patterns, and to become the best version of myself yet. I walked into her office a very depressed, withdrawn, anxious, guilty, and discontented person, and have become truly happy, confident and excited about my life and what the future holds.
My advice to anyone struggling with motivation, depression, anxiety, or their relationship / marriage is to let yourself get better. Seeing a counselor or psychologist can be a wonderful tool for helping yourself. Take a little step. I'd recommend compiling a list of what you might want in a counselor. Then, get a few (2-5) recommendations (like this one). Give each one a call and ask them some questions:
-What are your specialties?
-How long have you been practicing?
-What kind of education do you have?
-Do you take patients from my insurance company? (aka, can I afford you)
-Are you licensed?
Pick 2 or three that sound good, make appointments, and give them a try! By interacting with a couple different people, you can see differences in styles and pick the person who you were most comfortable with. That's exactly how I found Dr. Khorram!
Getting healthy is hard work and SO worth it!
Cheers!
