This doctor begins with a nice enough veneer, but her "nice" vanishes if your condition(s) or your individuality/IQ/knowledge challenge her. She simply does not want to have to "work hard" to earn those huge amounts of money. I'm sure she completes mandatory continuing education courses - but only because they are mandatory. Despite the fact that she accepted several hundred dollars worth of books from me that would have assisted her learning, especially about autism spectrum disorders, her vigor for non-compulsory learning can fairly be rated "DEAD."

Incidentally, she accepted me as a patient knowing that I have autism, and proved to be wholly ignorant of it. Deceptive.

When it came to medications, she mostly just copied my treatment plans from prior psychiatrists, although she twice arbitrarily changed my anti-depressant to "the latest" one. For some reason, she prescribed double the well-known efficacious dosage of Lexapro.

This doctor seems to struggle to balance "caring" and boundaries. For example, she insisted on accompanying me to a meeting with lawyers because (she said) she did not want me to have to go alone. I discouraged it. She became very angry when she received payment for her time in the mail from me.

The last day I saw her, her first words were that she had not gotten enough sleep the night before. She then ambushed me with incoherent questions, humiliating insults, rambling angry diatribes and nearly palpable coldness. I exited the session early.

When I wrote to ask for an explanation, she abruptly terminated her treatment of me, leaving me with no referral and no professional oversight of powerful medications.

This doctor, nonetheless, billed Medicare for a full treatment session - which, in reality, was neither treatment nor full. It was grossly abusive and unprofessional. I objected to Medicare and the doctor was made to refund their payment. The doctor said it had been a simple "billing error." I'd say it was a billing lie.

During her catastrophic ambush and tirade against me that unexpectedly last day, this doctor scolded me for being socially unsatisfactory during sessions with her. If you are unable, unwilling or uninterested in socially satiating this doctor while paying her for your entertainment of her, then I would suggest you seek out another psychiatrist.

She never offered to return my books.
