Previous dentists had either ignored or not noticed my bite problems. Nisha immediately recognized what was happening and actively helped me "vet" a specialist who is now correcting my bite and restoring my teeth. I am very happy that she is so knowledgeable, and I'm grateful to her for her generosity in helping me make this connection with confidence.

My father was an excellent dentist. All my life (am now 63) dentists have asked me, the moment they look in my mouth, "Wow! Who did your inlays!?" So I know a good DDS when I find one. I'm here to tell you: Dr. Nisha Krishnaiah has good hands and good eyes. She's strong but gentle, non-intrusive. And, she's decisive, which is really important -- whether excavating or preping. And she's a conservative strategist, which I appreciate. Example: I cracked a molar on an olive pit. Could have just yanked the tooth and done an implant. Expensive! Instead, we decided to try a crown. It worked! Also, the other folks on her staff are sharp, so the teamwork is smooth. It's like playing in a good orchestra under a good conductor. That reminds me: you even get to select the type of music you want to listen to while you're in the chair.

My last dentists (2) wanted to wait and watch the stains on my teeth. Of course I went along with them b/c I was not in pain and why would I want to have my teeth drilled on if I don't have to.

Well, when I went to FDNV and was told that the stains needed to be filled, I was confused and a bit suspicious. I saw pictures of my teeth with the stains and reluctantly gave permission to have the biggest stain filled. To my surprise and more confusion, a during picture was taken which revealed the depth of the stain; it was deeper than expected.

As it turns out, the stains that my old dentists have been watching for years were actually cavities. Needless to say, I had the other stains cleaned out as well. I am a bit upset with the last dentists but I realized that doctors are just like mechanics. There is no true consistencies in their diagnosis and we always want to hear that everything is fine.

My suggestion is that make sure you feel comfortable with the doctor and truly understand his/her explanation. After all, most of us are not trained doctors or mechanics. As for FDNV, I am happy that my cavities were filled now before they got bigger. That's my .02

I only went to this dentist once, and it will be the last time. I was told that I needed over $2,000 of work. I got a second opinion and was told it was completely unnecessary.
