This was my first visit to the dentist with my 2 yr old son and when I went for the appt I also had with me my 9 month old son. After talking to the receptionist to make my appt I told her I had no dental insurance and she told me that an "oral exam" is 45 dollars. Great, I made the appt. The office had a very nice waiting area which was good because we waited at least 40 minutes for our appt. Once we were in the room, the hygienist was great with my son; she looked at his teeth, counted his teeth and then cleaned his teeth. After she was done we waited probably at least another 10 minutes for the doctor to come in. The doctor looked at his teeth, counted his teeth and then painted his teeth with fluoride or something. Finally, we were done! I go to check out and my bill was 120.00. What? I said. Oh well, your son was just so good we were able to do a full exam. This made me very unhappy because I was there for an 'oral exam' - which I thought cost 45 dollars - how am I to know what this includes and what was more frustrating is that not once did the receptionist apologize and every time I said something she just kept saying well your son was just so good he sat for everything. Well, in my opinion, I should of been told this as the exam was going on. Like - oh he is being so good I'm going to do this next step and then this step and it will cost you this. No, they just kept going with everything and didn't tell me anything as I sat in the room with him. So, I paid and left with a very, very sour taste on my mouth. On my way home, I decided to call and speak to the office manager which they don't have one. Or at least that is what I was told. I talked with the receptionist again and tried to explain how unhappy I was and that I should of been told about all these other charges. She spoke to the doctor - not Paoli - and then came back on the phone to tell me - well I was sitting right there and saw all this going on - REALLY??? So, now this is my fault for not knowing? Grrrrr - very mad - and of course the receptionist was not listening to me which made me more mad and more loud TRYING to talk over her and when I finally stopped talking to hear what she was trying to say over me was - IM HANGING UP NOW. So, I hung up, as did she. UGH - what a GREAT experience for my first dentist visit - NOT REALLY!!! I will never go back to this office and I recommend that no one go here - and if you do - make sure you know what is EXACTLY going to go on and what you will be charged for - also I would check before you go what insurance they take as a woman and her son left the office after they were there to find out that office DID NOT take their dental insurance and the best part was that the two at the front desk were then talking about her while I sat in the lobby waiting - NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL.

This seemed like a good idea... I have two kids, 4 and 2. I brush twice a day with my kids and their teeth are healthy, but I got such sour vibes from Paoli. It was as if I was intruding. Was it because I am a Dad? My kids were sqeamish returning after two visits. My wife and I decided to transfer.

My son had cavities at age 2 due to poor enamal on his teeth. Well, it was SO hard to find any dental office that had an "open door" policy where parents could go back into the exam room with their child (why are the other dentists so afraid of this? Makes you wonder as a parent). Anyway, Kristin Paoli was friendly and helpful, and so were the hygienists. Everything they did made my son feel comfortable and he actually enjoyed going to the dentist. She fixed his teeth at a hospital for extra safety. Plus they NEVER use those baby safety restraints (strait-jacket things) unlike other local offices. WONDERFUL OFFICE!
