This man is dangerous. He may have the degree required to call himself a doctor, but he is anything but a physician in any sense of the word.

Dr. Kumar is exceptionally knowledgeable and easy to talk to. His receptionist Peggy is the best. She's on point and accommodating. They've squeezed me in and made last minute appointment changes w/ seemingly no problem. Also, they always seem to run on schedule. I've generally only waited five minutes to be seen and my appointment never drags out as it has with other doctors. I'd recommend Dr. Kumar to anyone.

Pros: knowledgeable, efficient, flexible

Cons: Nothing to complain about

This physician/psychiatrist is cutting-edge knowledgeable as regards psycho-pharmaceudicals and those conditions for which they are prescribed. He is a breed apart from the average medication-management psychiatrist in that he takes the time to listen to his patients. I have never met anyone quite like him and, had it not been for a relocation and the refusal of my insurance company to let me commute 125 miles to see him once a month, I would still be with him. The one negative feedback on this site pertaining to him is unbelievably offbase and slanderous, at best. It describes someone that is NOT Dr. Kumar who happens to be an exceptionally knowledgeable and caring professional. He made a huge and improved difference in my life at a time when I needed it most.

Pros: Think of anything you would want from a physician - he is

Cons: NOT ONE

It's important for me to tell others about Dr. Rajiv Kumar. I was diagonsed with anxiety and was referred to Dr. Kumar by a friend. From talking to Dr. Kumar for the first time, I felt that he was extremely knowledgeable in his field. His knowledge of medication is truly amazing. While waiting in the lobby, I talked to a mom who told me that she drove two hours to bring her child just to see Dr. Kumar. I have referred family and friends to Dr. Kumar because I feel comfortable knowing that he will help them. He is a very easy individual to talk to and the most important...he listens.

I am not sure which doctor you and your son were seeing, but I would be shocked if it were Dr. Kumar. I have been seeing him for two years and have found him to be professional, caring and empathic, and absolutely brilliant at what he does. He has helped me through horrific times, times when it was all I could do to get out of bed to go see him. And through these times, he showed the finesse and compassion that I can only wish other doctors possessed. He is a gentle man and a gentleman in every sense of the word, and he truly cares about his patients. He has gone out of his way for me many times and I feel it incumbent upon me to set the record straight here. Dr. Kumar does not deserve the disgruntled, disrespectful review you have posted on this site. If you had a bad experience with Dr. Kumar, I would be sincerely surprised. All that I can say is that he has never been dismissive of me, put my needs aside, or treated me with anything but respect and concern. In fact, he provides his cell phone number in the event that patients need to contact him at any time. And he answers his phone. I think we would all be hard-pressed to find such exemplary care from a Psychiatrist. Please consider, as you write these reviews, that you could in essence destroy an individual's reputation and take up your concerns with the doctor himself.

My father passed away and I was back to normal in THREE DAYS!! and im only 22!!!! How can I deal with life issues better than you? GET OVER IT!!!! YOU CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT! I WISH there were more doctors like this when I was getting therapy. People that experience massacres have problems, people that hear voices have problems... you are LUCKY that this is all that has happened to you. its LIFE! and it happens!

This man is dangerous. He may have the degree required to call himself a doctor, but he is anything but a physician in any sense of the word. He drove my son to near suicide with his constant lectures rather than diagnose the true, obvious problem of Asberger's Syndrome, deriding the kid for his lack of social skills.
He was also my psychiatrist.. very briefly. The same syndrome applies.. when my mother died and I was in a major auto collision less than three weeks later, and alone, and my siblings were falling apart, I was ready to die. He told me to knock it off and get myself together. If you can't call your shrink for something other than a guilt trip, what are you supposed to do?
If you value your sanity, PLEASE do NOT go to this man. He is as cold as ice and a total fraud.
