I just finished my 7th pregnancy. This was my first time with Dr Sauter. I had had 2 c-sections before that pregnancy and knew I would be hard pressed to find a doctor in Las Vegas that would allow me to attempt a VBAC. I did my research and came up with Dr Sauter and only one other doctor with a decent track record. All the reviews I found on Dr Sauter were miles better, so I was cautiously optimistic on my first visit. He was hesitant to give in, told me all the risks, which I knew he had to. By the end of that appointment, I felt confident that if a VBAC could be done, he'd be the one to make it happen. As the pregnancy progressed, I became more and more confident. I knew that any other doctor would try to talk me out of it by making up some ridiculous statistics. Not him. Even the nurses at the hospital during our tour slipped in a few negative comments about VBACs. At 39 weeks, he let me pick the baby's birthday, and we met him at the hospital. 6 1/2 hours later, I delivered a healthy baby girl via VBAC. It was, by far, the easiest delivery I ever had. I will absolutely see him again.

Dr Sauter has a very calm personality. He's open to helping you have the birth experience you want, within reason. He has yours and your baby's best interest in mind and he's very professional.

I went here for the first 1/2 of my pregnancy and truely loved his staff as well as Dr. Sauter. I unfortunately lost my insurance 1/2 way through and went with Baby your Baby and a Dr. who my friends recomended. He never came even close to Dr. Sauter's bed side manner or his and his staff's ability to address questions I didn't even know I had. I felt truely cared for at his office and like I recieved a true evaluation of the pregnancy. At the Dr. I went to afterwards I never felt like he was involved enough, heck he didn't even have my name right by full term! The other Dr. did not ask questions or give vital information just checked the baby's heart beat and did standard tests and sent me out the door. I wish I would have known that St. Rose had a program similar to Baby your Baby before I signed up with them.

Dr. Sauter delivered my first baby by c-section due to her being beach and past the due date. He was very professional during the entire thing and showed that he cared about me having a safe delivery. I was very upset and afraid about the c-section but after the whole thing, I wouldnt worry about doing it again with Dr Sauter. He was so professional and it was over within minutes...I didnt even know he had started before it was over...lol. My scar is very small and barely visible too. Im now pregnant again with my second and I know I want him as my dr again.

I had a TERRIBLE experience with Dr. Sauter. As a young mom, he treated me like a child and didn't respect me or my wishes. He flat out told me I wouldn't be able to give birth unmedicated (proved him wrong on that one) and didn't respect my wishes on birth control. The only time he showed me respect was when my husband was in the room.

When the OB office I was seeing with my first pregnancy decided to shut their doors when I was 36 weeks pregnant Dr. Sauter took me no problems! He is friendly and has a good sense of humor and takes the time to answer any and all questions stupid or not. He has a great bedside manner. He consults one on one but makes sure there is a nurse present at all examinations! He has since delivered two more of my babies. One by an unfortunate C-Section. He is open minded about doing VBAC's if the conditions are right as well as open-minded about doing a breech vaginal delivery (very impressed) on top of that, the wait time is reasonable and the office staff is wonderful and friendly along with all nurses. He gives you his professional advice on matters but always lets you make any final decisions in your delivery. I can't ask for more. If he ever moves his practice out of state I think I might have to move too. (LOL)
