Phenomenal doctor. I love that she respects the value of my time and is so efficient. I know that a few people may interpret this as being rushed or Dr. Simon not carrng, but that simply isn't true. She always takes the time to ask my children about their outside activities, and to check in with me. But her office operates very smoothly and we never have to wait more than 5-10 minutes after our scheduled appt time. She isn't a touchy-feely kind of doctor but my kids and I don't need that. We need a top-notch doctor who doesn't hesitate to be honest with my kids (don't wear your contacts 18 hours a day!). I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Simon to any new family.

We have been going to Dr. Simon for the last 6 years. I have twins that were born at 27 weeks (13 weeks premature) and one has some MAJOR visual impairments. Dr. Simon has been with us every step of the way!! She has seen us through some very difficult times.

On two separate occasions, she noticed that one of my daughters retina had detached! She sent us right then to a specialist that she had called and my daughter was in surgery that same week. Truthfully, I credit Dr. Simon for saving my child's eye sight twice!

She has always taken her time with us. My kids love her, she speaks to them in such a loving tone of voice, and is patient with them.

She expects you to be on time, because she is on time, she expects you to be the parent and in force the things that she says, because she wants what is best for your child. As long as those things happen, she will be the first one to congratulate you on a job well done! From my stand point, isn't that what we want from our doctors?

She is as good as it gets! I know this because as you can imagine, we see SEVERAL specialist, and by far she is our favorite!

There are times in our lives when we need to rely on others to feel safe, secure and 100% confident in the decisions we make for our children. Dr. Simon did absolutely NONE of those. She outright bullied my husband and threatened that our son would go blind if we did not act within 24hours. We received both a second and third opinion and both physicians disagreed with Dr. Simons recommendation. Did she know deep down that those opinions would contradict hers? Was she just more worried about being conservative and keeping her perfect record intact rather than doing what was best for her patient? These and many other questions floated thru our minds as she left us completely stunned and frustrated after the appointment. During the evaluation she would not explain her decision and treated us as though we were well below her. We witnessed her irrational behavior not only with us, but with her colleagues as well. We witnessed just how emotionally unstable she was at a very crucial time in our sons life. She is certainly well educated and has much experience, but her bedside manner and eventual diagnosis were atrocious and unacceptable. I realize that with her specialty there are not many options when living in the South Bay, but I would much rather recommend a potential client to drive in LA traffic and feel safe, secure and confident that your child is receiving the medical care that he/she deserves. If you do need a good recommendation, check out Dr. Thomas Chu of the Retina Vitreous Associates Medical Group in Los Angeles. He has office hours on Fridays in Torrance. Or else they have 5 offices throughout Los Angeles. www.laretina.com

Dr Simon was wonderful. She helped ease our fears about an eye surgery my son had to have at 9 months old. She did an exceptional job, and I would highly recommend her!

Dr. Simon, was great. My wife and I had to take our son in to have surgery on his tear duct when he was 11 months old. She was very professional, and patient with him. She did the surgery with no complications, and follow up with us to make sure that everything was going well after the surgery.
