This doctor prescribed me 325 mg of Ferrous Sulfate without a blood test. My daughter was born with unresolved jaundice, and no one wanted to tell me about it. Dr. Lewis had the dirtiest facial expressions while delivering my child. I learned after that the hospital he works for has on record that I suffer from renal failure - that record reflects a false-positive result. Causing toxic-overload on myself and my unborn child can only be viewed as bio-ethicism. Thank goodness I followed my gut instinct, stopped calling him and began treating myself. She is alive and my health issues are not worse. I fell down the stairs a week after I had her, they did not check anything on my body and said I was fine. I am now suffering from pelvic prolapse. I really hope northern Alabama resolves their issues. Killing off patients because they owe money to the system and cannot pay it is not a solution. Thanks a lot Dr. Lewis!!!

Dr. Lewis and Dr. Kristine are wonderful. They are so wonderful, their patient load is almost too much!! For a great doctor, I am willing to wait. Unfortunately, the secretaries/nurses are not so kind. My daughter and I have extreme allergies - we are not from here. I can't think, I become very angry from the pain, etc. Well, since I am pregnant, I wait to take medicine until I approve it with the Dr. - I could NOT sit in there a moment longer 'waiting' this time. I simply went to the desk and asked to reschedule. The nurse gave me all these excuses with a poor attitude and I did not complain whatsoever. All I had stated was my daughter and I do not feel well, I'd like to reschedule. So she was mad/upset/angry/impatient, whatever! Her tone was not nice. On top of it, another receptionist was calling a woman a b***h into her headset - I am not going to assume it was me, but I was the only person standing there and after 90% of the conversation with the first receptionist did those words come out of her mouth. I am not sorry for having allergies, for being willing to take the pain for my unborn baby, for being willing to wait - but for them to take me the wrong way and call me names? What the h3ll? I understand the patient load and all the frustrations of a backed up office and I respect that - these Dr's are high risk Dr's and in high demand. I am 9 months and so ready to call Dr. Pitts office but I do not want to lose Dr. Lewis. They did reschedule me for the next week - if she didn't enter me into the computer, which seems to happen when they 'don't like you', I will be finding a new Dr. :( As I said, Dr. Lewis is wonderful, but the rest of the people there, even the nurse practitioner are snobby like they only enjoy pregnant mothers that go all out organic or have the money to attempt a perfect pregnancy. Dr. Lewis does care - his staff does not! And just because other patients are jerks shouldn't mean I have to put up with the brunt of it.
