I went to seek help from Dr. Leslie Miller because I read online that she understood women's health issues. She does in fact know a great deal. Unfortunately, she doesn't LISTEN. I have been experiencing 30+ day long periods and no MDs are able to help, so I scheduled an appt with Leslie Miller. She saw me, made me wait 2 months before she saw me again to track my periods. When I went in to see her, she kept insisting that she could prescribe a pill that would make my periods start. I told her that wasn't the issue. It was that my periods go on for days on end. She said there was a pill that would shut down my periods forever. I liked this idea and begged her for more information, but she refused any help and said I already had a paragard and that I already had birth control. I told her, that wasn't the issue. My issue is that I bleed for 30+ days. She told me that at age 37 I was going through early menopause and that periods aren't normal. But this issue has been going on for 5 years. To top things off, she was referring to lab results that I later found out belonged to ANOTHER patient with the same name because the lab called and told me about the mishap. If you want to waste your time and money, I recommend Leslie Miller, MD.

Dr. Miller frequently made offensive comments about everything from my weight to my marital status. She interrupted the experience of listening to my child's heartbeat for the first time by reminding me it wasn't to late to have an abortion. She was in no way concerned that I had been experiencing random anxiety attacks during pregnancy. Instead , she recommended a completely irrelevant book and asked me if I knew how to read when I showed a look of confusion. Since I had asked her several questions and referenced topics I had read in pregnancy books, I can only assume that she was not listening to me most of the time. After I pursued discontinuing our patient/doctor relationship, she sent me a letter implying that she would no longer see me as a patient, as if it had been her decision! I am pregnant with my second child, and thanks to her I am fearful of new doctors. I found a great one to deliver my first, but unfortunately she no longer does deliveries!
