My initial visit was great. The people were nice. Then when I tried to get a refill on ambien (insomnia) i had called 5 times and they never returned a call. When i reached a nurse i would be told they are putting in the order and will call me back when they had it done, but never received one return call in 3 weeks. I had CVS call and fax them on 4 seperate occasions and they never recieved a return call. The one time they faxed in the script it had no quantity or dosage amount on it, so the pharmacy could not fill it. When i went into her office to confront them on such poor support she would not even see me and they handed me a peice of paper through window saying she is no longer my doctor. Don't ever visit this place. Horrible Horrible Service.

Hated to fire Dr Scudder but her staff gets worse each year. Waiting for days for a call back. No record at pharmacy of prescription supposedly called in by the doctor. Too aggravating. I really feel bad because I've recommended so

In over 5 years of seeing Dr Scudder I have found her to be very knowledgeable and very concerned about her patients. She spends whatever time is necessary and in my case has never rushed or tried to get rid of me.

The Staff is very courtious and understanding

She listens and responds to your questions.

Find another doctor--between waiting almost an hour to see the doctor, the rude and inefficient staff, I cannot think of any reason to return to this office. De Scudder must have "favorite" patients and those are the folks writing the "wonderful" reviews.

To say I am shocked by the negative reviews of Dr. Scudder's office is an understatement. In my 50+ years, I have never had the pleasure of seeing a physician who cared so sincerely about me personally, listened, gave me the time I needed, and whose staff is equally as caring as Dr. Scudder herself. A few weeks ago, Dr. Scudder spent over 40 minutes treating me. I am sorry my treatment was so time-consuming because it delayed other appointments. I am also grateful Dr. Scudder took the time necessary to care for me properly. The front desk receptionist and nurse I see at almost every visit have always been wonderful. I agree with the other poster who said the complainers probably have bad experiences wherever they go. With Dr. Scudder I have, for the first time in my life, a true partner in my health care. Gotta love her!

I visited Dr. Scudder twice but I am unsure if I will visit again. I read the reviews online about Dr. Scudder at various sites and decided not to judge. When I arrived at her office I noticed it was clean and looked pleasant. The cashier/nurses window was small and the nurses hid behind frosted glass. You could not see what was going on behind the glass when it was closed. I??ve never been to a Doctor??s office where they had to hide behind a glass. It made me think they had something to hide. The office staff seemed friendly however. I did not have to wait very long before they called me back. The nurse led me to a room after she weighed me and I waited patiently. I think I may have had to wait 15 or 20 minutes in the room. The room was cold and I was a bit uncomfortable. They must have been trying save money by not turning on the heat. When Dr. Scudder came in, she was friendly and began asking me questions about family history and my own medical history. I hadn??t visited a Doctor in several ears due to lack of insurance and I had my own questions to ask. At first she was very attentive and friendly but after a few minutes she began to rush. She began to rush through any answers to my questions and that is if she answered them at all. If I asked a new question she seemed agitated. She tried to end our conversation 2 or 3 times and finally she did end it and walked out the door. As soon as the door to my room closed I heard the door in the room next to me open and I heard her talk with the next patient. She ended my appointment so abruptly because she just wanted to move to the next patient. I visited her again after a few weeks and this was for my physical. Again I did not wait too long in the waiting room but I had to wait for a bit longer in the exam room. Because of the nature of my visit I was instructed to change into a paper gown. The room was very cold and wearing only paper gown made my wait very uncomfortable. Dr. Scudder came in and quickly rushed through my exam. I told her I thought I may have been pregnant and she seemed unconcerned. I was not given a pregnancy test. Apparently my symptoms did not justify a test. The exam was very short. I realized that she only intended on spending 15 minutes with each patient and became obviously rushed and irritated if the appointment exceeded that amount of time. When a Doctor only allows 15 minutes with each patient and rushes through appointments ignoring the patients concern, it??s time for a new doctor. Obviously she was only interested in making a pay check. I may not visit her again. If I do I will either express my feeling towards her 15 minute rule or try and keep my appointment at 15 minutes. I shouldn??t have to suppress my concerns to fit her schedule but if I want to remain her patient I will have to do so. My insurance pays her and I pay my co-pay. She gets paid either way. If you visit her be aware that the rooms are cold so bring a sweater or a blanket. Also, she only spends 15 minutes with each patient so be prepared for that. She will end the appointment suddenly if it exceeds 15 minutes. Write down all your questions so the appointment can end fast or you will not get the visit you wanted. She??s awesome the first 10 minutes of the appointment but after that you??re just out of luck if you want more time.

Cons: Very short visits! Office is cold!

I used to go to Dr. Scudder because she is such a great doctor and I love the fact that she listens. But my time is just as valuable as hers. If she is falling behind on her appointments everyday she really needs to start spreading them out a little more to be respectful to her patients. And if a patient not respectful enough to show up on time for an appointment then they should be treated as a walk in and have to wait to be seen if she has time. Take care of the patients that showed up on time.

Dr. Scudder really needs to have a talk with her staff to remind them the patients are people. They may here the same thing everyday and it becomes old to them. But they should remember that one day it could be them on the receiving end and they would want to be treated nicely and with respect.

Remember the old saying treat others the way you want to be treated (even when it is hard).

And if any of Dr. Scudder?s staff are reading the message boards they should print them and give her a copy that way she can try and resolve the problems her patients have. She can not try and make changes if she does not know about them. She is a great Doctor and I would love to go back to her but I can not take long lunches every time I need to see her. Maybe Saturday hours would help a little for the working patients.

Pros: Great person and Doctor

Cons: long wait / staff forgets they deal with real people

Just because Dr. Scudder and her staff are busy does not give them the right to be rude to patients. What is the point of making an appointment at 1pm if you can't be seen until 3pm? Is a doctor's time more important than a patients? Because she's a doctor should we bow down and let ourselves be disrespected? As for prescriptions I called in once a month before I was out and I still had to jump through hoops to get a refill.

If you have time to sit at wait for hours for a so called appointment and you can handle being spoken to like you're an idiot then go to Dr. Scudder.

Dr Scudder is the greatest doctor ever. Regarding her office staff, I cant imagine anyone having anything bad to say about them. They are so loyal and caring. I have been a patient there for 6 years and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Those of you that have so many bad things to say, well you probably cause trouble everywhere you go.

Not only did I not get noticed until 30 min after my arrival, I didnt get called back until over an hour later. I understand there are emergencies occasionaly but this tends to happen everytime I go there. THIS IS NOT PAID TIME OFF FOR ME! HELLO The staff is so rude and un professional that its obvious they dont care about the patients but only themselves. The MEDICAL ASSISTANTS (not RN's) are not accurate of returning your call until 2-3 days later, for all they could of cared I could have overdosed on my medications that I was taking and had a question about. They always want you to come back in the office for any and everything just for your copay. Let alone the doctor was aware of my situation and had enough nerve to ask me why I came 15 minutes early for my appointment? WTF?!? this is not how people should be treated. That entire office needs to have some kind of customer service training! they need a wake up call and you would think they would want to establish a re occuring patient relationship. Its too bad because I used to think she was a great doctor until I got that kind of response from her. Instead of just listening to what I had to say and apologizing...it was like they just wanted to argue. Too bad soo sad she just lost my whole family as well and a few co workers as patients! UNACCEPTABLE TREATMENT!

I was a patient for 10 years and never had a problem until she wouldn't refill a prescription without an appointment. The appointment times they had was not until almost a month later and she refused to give me temporary medicine. Obviously the co-payment is more important to her than her patients health. Stay away from her.

Dr. Scudder is one of the best doctors I've ever had. She is nice, patient, and tries therapies and techniques without resorting right away to putting you on meds for life. The only drawback is her office staff is not very friendly, and sometimes wait to see her (average about 30 minutes after your appt time). This does not include the nurses - they are GREAT. The other thing that is strange is they force you to pick up referrals in person. They don't use electronic methods (fax, email) like most of the rest of the world. They claim it's so that they ensure patients receive them (still doesn't make sense). Because I like Dr. Scudder so much, I think it's worth putting up with office staff that has a bad day (all the time), and a little bit of a wait in the waiting room.
