Pros: DOC'S

Cons: OFFICE STAFF , WAIT TIME ,PARKING

We went to a few different offices to find the right fit for our first pregnancy and initially liked this office. The nursing staff was great and we felt comfortable with the experience they described and looked forward to meeting the differerent Mid-wives. Unfortunately we felt discouraged when we consistently arrived early for our appointments we would wait nearly an hour and WELL past our appointment times. This occurred even for the first appointments after lunch, and it's frustrating to see four or five other patients go in before you. When changing doctors from this office we requested medical records to be released including the HIPPA forms and it currently has been 4 phone calls and 8 WEEKS! We did get a bill for the records of $21 which we must pay first, then they'll sent the records even though we talked with their department two weeks ago they promised to send them out in time for our next appt at our new doctors office....well we're still waiting. If you like a large practice where you'll see diferent doctors, midwives (as they tell you - even though we met none in out 3-4 appts there), and feel like as long as you pay via medicaid, you'll fit right in. Maybe they focus on their fertility side and less on the OBGYN side of things. We found a smaller office that takes more time, and follow through on their promises. The service and un-professionalism of Triangle is disgraceful when you're going through an experience that's supposed to be exciting! They are too many good offices in town, we recommend you look elsewhere.

To be perfectly honest, I loved the care I got from Triangle OB-GYN. Some of the midwives are absolutely fabulous. However, I changed my insurance plan during my pregnancy and that is where my troubles began. It took over 10 phone calls before I finally got my issue resolved--the billing department never answers the phone. Then they were less than helpful, claiming that they simply did what the insurance company demanded. When I talked to the insurance company, I found out that they simply worked the system in order to charge almost twice what their own paperwork says it will cost. I will not be returning to the practice and I'd advise everyone else to avoid it.

Pros: parking, midwives

Cons: office staff

The staff is extremely disorganized and have poor communication skills (resulting in me waiting in the waiting room for an hour, having to wait weeks for a routine appt, etc). They don't listen and like to have the answers before you ask the question. I transferred practices as a result and then got billed for them to copy my records! No one indicated there was a fee (which is not the norm), again a result of poor communication and lack of organization.

When I called to complain, the office manager came back with fighting words, compared the office to the DMV (I wouldn't expect to get my license for free, would I? Well, at least the DMV publishes their fees!). He was disingenuous in saying that my bill was between myself and the copying company (since I was given no choice, I don't see how he could say that). He then went on to say they couldn't possibly let patients know about the fee for the service (even though they have a form you need to fill out for records and they have a voice mailbox that explains the copying process). Essentially, he wanted to be right instead of hearing me out in letting him know that communication was one of the main reasons I was leaving the practice. After my conversation with him, I know from where the communications issues stem!

All I wanted was for him to listen, maybe say "Sorry for the inconvenience," but instead I received lots of words from someone who liked to use them but didn't know how to use them in a civil way.

Avoid this practice if you can.
