I went to see my regular Doctor at her clinic, who was out on a family emergency, for follow up on a previous condition, and was fit into the schedule to see Dr. Clemons instead. My wife had had previous poor experiences similar to mine with Dr Clemons before, but at the time I did not make the connection.
Firstly, do not go see this doctor if you value being treated like a patient and not like a scam artist or criminal. Dr Clemons was literally the worst and most myopic physician I have ever seen in my entire life. Her bedside manner if that term can be applied to her is unsympathetic, lazy (she did not look at my chart except with my persistent urging), and has a punitive aspect which is particularly troubling and which I would like to comment on.
At the beginning of our appointment, I gave her some background on my condition and why I was there to see a doctor. I have work related stress-induced physical as well as psychological issues acknowledged by my other doctors, counselors, managers, and my employer. I was simply at the clinic to fill out the extension form since my doctor's out, with another doctor who hadn't had the 3 years' background with my case that my primary physician had.
She seemed to have a moral problem with disability for "psych issues". After explaining my issues she told me to my face that she would never approve more than 3 or 4 weeks further disability leave extension for my "psychiatric" issue. I asked her if she really thought if someone with my set of active acute symptoms was prepared to return to work after only 4 therapy sessions with an LCSW and perhaps 3 weeks more and she said "yes", actually smirking. I told her I wanted to end the consult ("we're done") and she actually stood up suddenly, said "you're being unprofessional, I'm leaving" and dramatically walked out of the room. After I said I didn't want her to see me and we were done. I waiting, complained to the office manager, and left.
She second guessed not only my legitimate medical issue, my character, but also her more experienced colleague's diagnosis, as well as the determination of the disability contractor, my managers, and my employer.
This apponitment induced a panic attack and I am complaining to both the AMA and the BBB at the every least about this awful excuse for a doctor. Don't see her!

The waiting time is ridiculous. First you wait about 20 minutes in the waiting room and then they move you to a room where i have waited anywhere between 30-1hr and 30 minutes! RIDICULOUS! They're rooms are extremely cold so that doesn't make it any better. I had one or two good doctors at blackstock one of which was dr. lee but i don't believe she's there anymore. One doctor was extremely rude there and i almost left the office crying. She's tall with long curly hair but i can't think of her name. Over all blackstock is not a very good place to go. I would definately recommend going somewhere else.

This family practice is located in the professional building next to Breckenridge Hospital. They accept MAP, medicaid, and other forms of insurance. The staff is nice, and the doctores well informed. They are often very busy and you may have to wait past your appointment time to be seen. The lobby does not have much for magazines or childrens books usually, so it might be good to bring something with you to kill the time while you wait. They can fit people in pretty quickly for emergencies, but for general visits they can get pretty backed up and may not be able to see you for some time.

I belong to this family health center, they are so nice and effecient,my kids love the doctors and nurses there, they take their time with the kids and make them feel comfortable. They also were very busy, but took the time to rush my kids physicals, for school.

PROS: Good easy location because it's located next to Breakinridge Hospital
CONS: I couldn't find any...
