Dr. Barre has many positive reviews which was why I selected her for my pain management needs. It was a great mistake to believe the positive reviews posted, and I do agree with some of the posters who said that Barre did NOT treat their pain and seemed to be on some sort of "substance" herself, with no regard to charts and patient records brought to her and MAJOR memory issues regarding patient care. Contrary to her "mission statement" posted on her every profile, in my experience, Dr. Barre is NOT compassionate, does NOT follow through with patient care, and clearly prefers a patient who will simply accept a dangerously strong and often addictive medication (such as marijuana or narcotics) without questioning or asking for communication with other physicians whom the patient may be seeing (such as a GP, endocrinologist, obgyn, etc.). Dr. Barre does not hesitate to pass judgement when a patient expresses personal and delicate information regarding his or her condition/disease. She will laugh at those expressing faith in God, she will push political beliefs on a patient as part of a 'treatment plan', and in my experience, after only two visits, she firmly and emphatically told me that my "medical scenario" was "hopeless" unless I agreed to try medical marijuana combined with ONLY the physical therapists and other referrals she dictated. When hearing that my insurance would not cover these services and learning I was not interested in medical marijuana, Dr. Barre deemed me as "not compliant" and rudely dismissed me. I left her office in more pain and with more psychological turmoil than I ever had before making my first appointment with her. Beware of the positive reviews-the statements in this review are only my opinion and result from my experience with Dr. Barre, but I firmly believe that if you are the type of person who wishes to be involved in your treatment, do not waste your time. She will not answer questions, she will pass judgement very quickly if you mistakenly trust her with personal information, and you will be sorry for the time invested. My first appointment wait was over an hour and twenty minutes. 'Complete waste of time.
