I had received a gift card for mothers day, never having been in before I didn't know what to expect. I booked my appointment with the friendly receptionist and decided on a massage and haircut. Words cannot explain Kristina's massage! She fixed all my problems. Next I went to Julie for my haircut, she was so bright and bubbly! She listened to exactly what I wanted and I look like a new woman! I will definitely be coming back!
I am from Bellevue and I love the Spa - with that said I am picky lol. I have been going to London House since receiving a gift certificate there a couple years back. With their increased popularity their prices are unfortunately more competitive with other salon/spas. They had a fairly recent remodel and now have better advertising. The massage room is more peaceful/tranquil than Gene Juarez. Not to knock on G.J. but there is something to be said about London House. I love the down to earth attitude of this place. Enjoy every visit.
The London House is a great place for getting a haircut and color. The stylist I saw (same one) on both occasions was great. We actually had a lot in common, both married at the same age and had little girls. I was never kept waiting when I had an appointment and the stylist listened to me carefully when I told her of the look I was going for. For my birthday, my husband arranged for me to have a massage and it was wonderful. I agree that the staff can be a little snotty if you aren't a regular customer coming back every 4-6 weeks but it is a great place to be pampered.
This is a really great salon to go for any salon services that you may need. They have excellant hair colorists and stylists. I love the tanning booth that you actually stand up in. It is more comfortable than your standard tanning bed. I feel like I get a more even tan. Everybody that I have dealt with at this salon have been really friendly. I highly recommend.
I like the stuff that they do with my hair, but they do act kinda snotty. I have went here several times to get my hair done and they have done what I have wanted, (cut my hair with a style) but they treat me kinda rude cause I dont come in every month for highlights or perm or touch ups. So I wouldnt reccomend this for your regular salon.
London House Salon & Spa recently made some huge improvements by completely remodeling the interior of their space. Upon entering, patrons are immediately greeted with great customer service and a relaxing environment. There is a spa located upstairs with a multitude of services availabe as well as a nail salon and hair salon. Heather is, in my opinion, the most superior hairstylist I have ever had the joy to experience! I have extremely long, thick hair and whenever I walk away from an appointment with her my hair looks fabulous, I'm happy and my checkbook is happy! It is truly a steal of a deal! The salon also has a website: http://www.londonhousesalon.com/. Enjoy!
LH is the best salon/spa in the area! They have a full variety of services available, including hair care, skincare-facials, waxing, etc, pedicare and manicure, massage therapy, and tanning. The service is spectacular - whether I go there for one service, or multiple services I always come away feeling completely pampered and am always treated as if I am the only customer to be tended to. Smiles are abundant! The environment is relaxing, upstairs where the skincare and massage therapy is conducted the waiting room is dimly lit with candles and fireplace, a soothing waterfall, etc. It is quiet and serene, the best place to relax! Downstairs where the hair and nail salons are there is a friendly environment with every detail to comfort. Although not extremely cheap, they are less expensive than several of the other spas I have visited and I feel their rates are reasonable.
PROS: Service, Expertise, Environment, Staff, the whole package!
I started going to London House a year ago when my then-stylist had personal problems that interferred with hsi business and availability. Juli is the recognized "perm queen" and wields her scissors equally well. Just had my hair cut for summer and now I can be ready with just a flick of my head. Not sure why other reviewers have difficulty - maybe they are difficult themselves.
Pros: Friendly & Efficient
Lets start by saying my hair is normally a frizzy uncontrollable mess! I came in to talk to a stylist and was recommended to Faye. I ended up picking the Keratin relaxer ( I have tried japanese straightners in the past which have damaged my hair :( ) But the Keratin made my hair soo soft! I LOVE it! I wake up in the morning and can style my hair in minutes! Goodbye to terrible frizz! Thanks Faye you are the best!
Pros: Parking Lot, Friendly & Knowledgable Staff, Great Espresso!
Over the years I have tried several times to get hair cuts or other services here. I was optimistic, and tried at least 6 times, but the stylists were inconsistent and overpriced. So I stopped that. I had one good massage, but when I went back, the person was no longer working there. I recently thought I would give it a whirl with a coupon offering 3 services and a latte. (You know, if it sounds too good to be true... well, it was..) The first service (facial), was adequate. Not sensational, but decent. Everything went downhill from there. I didn't want one of the services and requested a substitute for equal value and they declined. No problem. Didn't have the 2nd service. I then had to wait 30 minutes for the3rd, (a pedicure). I waited long enough that the hot water my feet were soaking in turned cold. I watched as 3 others received complete pedicures, so I had an expectation of what would happen. No such luck. I declined polish, but expected to get the rest of the service. I received the shortest, lamest pedicure imaginable. They asked if I wanted a "quick" basic manicure, and I relented, against my better judgment. Again, no polish. The worst I expected would be a charge for the the regular full price of a basic manicure, but was stunned when they said it would be $30. I asked why, and they said I got an "herbal treatment" (Was that the scrub that was rubbed on for 20 seconds that I was asked to "wash off " at the sink??). I have received far better manicures for $12. Overall, I felt I should have been tipped off about the staff's' "customer service " attitude when I read on the coupon "tips are expected for the full price of the services, so tip well .." (roughly) and "our customers tip well and that is why they are great".. Oh,and.. I was never offered the latte.
Pros: not that I can think of
Cons: Slow, inconsistent, poor service, expensive
I went to another salon to get my hair done....it was awful! I had heard great things amount London House from my friends and when I went there (wearing a hat) they let me know that my hair would survive and I could get it looking great again before prom! My hair feels healthy now and gorgeous! Faye saved my life! Thank you thank you thank you!!! Looking forward to seeing you for my prom updo!
Pros: Excellent hairdressers!
I get my haircut by Ashley and Andrew, perfect cut everytime. My wife first got me to go there and now I won't go anywhere else. I highly recommend them and do to all my friends.
Pros: Great cuts, great pedicures, great massages
I had always received first class service at this salon! I have gone to many great people, such as Andrew, Ali and Denise! Each one did a consultation and listened to what I wanted! I tell all my friends.
Pros: great variety of stylists, cater to personal needs
I've been to the London House more than once. I always enjoy my service, but it is getting to the service that is the problem. More than once I have been ignored by the front desk while they make conversation with other clients. I get it, you want people to be friendly, but to ignore another client becasue you know the one you are helping better is rude. I have found that some of the front desk is better than others. I love going in on Thursday nights because the girl are super friendly. All in all I love the services that I get there and the staff is great. I just wish the front desk was less rude.
Pros: Parking, stylists
Cons: rude front desk
I have tried a variety of services at this place and for some reason it's really varied in the quality of service I tend to recieve. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but yet again I am highly disappointed in the service recieved. They seem very friendly but it's all a front, if they mess up your service then they refuse to fix it and are very hostile about it. It's great if you're friends with someone who works there but if you're not they are very quick to dismiss you.
Cons: cost. quality.
i have been going to the london house for awhile because i have a friend that works there.
Her name is sherri thatcher and she does a great job on facials and waxing and anything else you want.
so if you wan great service go to the london house and ask for sherri thatcher.
SHE IS WONDERFUL=]
I have been going to London House for almost a year now. I am always treated with care from the time I walk in to the time I check out. I love Jill, she specializes in color and is amazing! The London House is clearly the best spa and salon in the area.
I've been going to London House for about four years now. All of the stylists are wonderful. Andrew and Erica are superb, but my own personal favorite is Grace. She is fantastic. If you want top notch styles, and truly professional yet down to earth and friendly stylists, this is the place. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Pros: Great products, Contemporary, Friendly
