.

Dr. Lovaas performed my sons otoplasty (ear tuck) surgery. He was the second dr we visited with in office (approximately 10 talked to over the phone). This is a 100% elective surgery and spendy. It is a sensitive surgery too because in this case, it was on our child who could/may have questions why it was necessary. He would also be put under for the first time in his life. Following surgery he had to wear a full mummy head wrap day and night for a week and a half. It itched like no ones business. He cried at length and we felt like terrible parents. Dr. Lovaas and his nurses helped us through this difficult time and in the end, Dr. Lovaas performed a beautiful surgery on very involved corrections to both ears. Now, our little boy won't ever be teased about this. Dr. Lovaas has amazing bedside manner but do keep in mind the day of the surgery, his focus is on your child and doing the surgery right ~ not on having at length conversations about things that might be better dealt with friends and family (tons of comforting). We are so happy we chose Dr. Lovaas.
