I had the WORST experience with Dr. Stewart. I had seen her in 8 years ago during my first pregnancy. To make a long story short, she did not heed any of my complaints during my pregnancy. She brushed off several of my PIH symptoms that I had, and ignored my rising blood pressure and dismissed me. The appointment that I had with her right before my son was born was awful. I had requested an ultra sound to see what position my son was in, because I visibly dropped and it just didn't feel right. She did digital internal examination and said she could feel his head right at my cervix, but felt it was okay - I didn't feel it was ok. I was in tears - my husband was there and my mother all telling her that something wasn't quite right. She sent my on my way, dismissed all of our concerns, and my son was born 3 days later 2 months premature due to PROM. (He was engaged and it was just a matter of days until my water broke.) My blood pressure had dropped considerably after I had my son. I am certain that I had preeclampsia or was getting there quickly based on my BP and other symptoms. Thank goodness for the NICU staff and perinatologists at Legacy Emanuel Hospital - they are the best!
