Dr. Ward used to work at All About Eyes in Hillsboro, but now she is at ABC Vision Source in Sherwood! I am really glad I found her. She is very thorough and her staff is so nice, they really made me feel at home.

I do CAD work and needed an update for my glasses. I have special needs as I had RK several years ago in California and they botched the astigmatism in my left eye (doubled it instead of correcting it). As my eyes aged and I began to need glasses again I have discovered full correction of my eyes creates a problem with making the computer screen look smaller on the left (I need the screen to look equal all the way across for the CAD work I do) and causes vertigo when walking. I've been dealing with this problem for several years. Since I was new to the area, I dropped into All About Eyes (where Mari was originally) as they were located close to the Intel Rohnler Acres site. They assured me they could correct my vision properly. I went through the exam which the Od on duty did with the automated equipment. After my new glasses came in, they had the same problem! Fortunately the Od on duty _that_ day was Mari Ward. She re-examined me taking the time to understand the dynamics of my vision, and even used the old fashioned big clunky frame with the interchangeable lenses to get me <>. When the glasses came back they were PERFECT! Mari Ward is the best Od I've ever been to. She took the time to get my glasses right instead of relying on the technology and machines. She was also very personable, and _genuinely_ concerned about the health of my eyes. When I came back the next year for my annual exam I found out Mari was no longer there and the staff at All About Eyes claimed they didn't know where she went. (But something about the way they said it made me I suspect that they really knew and didn't want to tell anyone to avoid loosing patients - Ophthalmology is a small professional community here and an Optometrist that doesn't know what is going on in their business community is probably not up to date on other things in the profession.) But later I found Mari by accident! She is now located at ABC VISION SOURCE ALOHA, in the Aloha Mall 18629 SW Tualatin Valley Hwy, Beaverton, OR (cross street is 185th)! I got my current pair of glasses from Mari at ABC Vision. Barb was great at helping me select a frame that looks good on my face and would accommodate the progressive lenses that I needed. Even her prices are better (doesn't have the overhead associated with being in the Orenco Station)! I'd give Mari and Barb TEN stars if I could.

My sons both need to have eye exams, ok so do I, but my youngest was the best story to relate. He wanted glasses so badly and the only thing that they could find was that he had a wander eye and that he needed to do exercises. He was heart broken that he didn't get to get a pair of glasses. They were so good to him. Great place for the whole family.

We have been patients at ABC Vision for almost 7 years. The staff is very nice and helpful. Dr. Ward is very good about explaining the vision tests she runs and why they are needed. Barb is super helpful when it comes time to pick out glasses or giving instructions to a first time contact lens user :-). Highly recommend!

I really appreciate the available shedule to get my son in when it was evident that he was having problems reading the board at school - they were not only prompt but professional and involved him in choosing of his frames when he HAD to get the dreaded glasses - they are adorable on him and the staff was great. Thank you ABC!
