Do not go here! I was new to the area, and someone told me how Dr. Valdez treated a child in an emergency situation. The worst decision I made was to give her a try. Within the first few visits, I noticed she would want us to keep coming back for things she could do in one visit. I had a gut feeling that we needed to switch doctors. My husband told me to just address the issues and give it time because I had the same Pediatrician in the state we moved from for 4 years and she and I worked together sometimes in the hospital so we had a great relationship. To sum it up, one of my children had to go into the hospital for something Dr. Valdez missed. We waited all night for her to put in orders, so essentially my son and I were admitted into the hospital just waiting. She and her colleagues barely touched him or assessed him. After she kept referring us to different specialists, I asked to switch his care to the attending physician. I also told her I wanted to switch doctors and I wanted a second opinion. She would not recommend anyone else and was offended that I had even asked, as if I didn't have the buying power. I requested to be discharged from the hospital. After emailig pictures of my son's condition to our former physician in another state, our former doctor made some phone calls and got us in to see another doctor immediately. I am so thankful the other doctors found the problem. The entire time I never told Dr. Valdez or her colleagues that I am a health care professional. It is always interesting to see how doctors will treat you when they don't know you are familiar with the medical field. Her office staff is pleasant but I knew I could never trust her with my children again.

The doctor is usually pretty nice, but i find that even on time I'm usually waiting 2-3 hrs. Even when my 1 year old son is sick and fussy. When I am finally seen by Dr. Valdez the time spent on the check-up is usually only about 5 mins. not leaving me much time for questions. Many times while waiting for a long period of time I find Dr.Valdez and the staff simply chatting. Some of the staff members are often very off-putting, and the office could use some cleaning. On top of all of this this office ment for children is in a bad area of town next to a bong shop. I would not recomend this pedatric office to anyone.
