.

We do not recommend that anyone use this doctor or his staff for any laser treatment. We recommend that you seek a dermatologist for procedure related to your skin, especially laser treatment.
We learned this lesson the hard way. We went to Dr. Matthew Yoak for minor laser treatment on some very small spider veins. My wife had a few on her legs and I had a few on my nose.
Dr. Yoak and his nurse Gail fried our skin with their Cutera Laser.
We are both permanently scarred for life after only one of Yoaks laser treatments. Yoak and his nurse appeared to be untrained and lacking basic knowledge of using this laser. The laser cut and burned our skin leaving deep grooves and pitting in our skin.
Dr. Yoak could only say "I'm sorry, You both signed the waiver-consent form. There's nothing that can be done to correct the damage from the laser, just come back and see me in one year ". His Nurse, Gail, advised us to massage the scarring and to smear on lots of Bactracin.
My wife and I finally did the smart thing and went to a Certified Dermatologist. He looked at the damages caused by Yoak and is using other laser procedures to correct the damages caused by Yoak.
My wife and I are showing signs of improvement from the laser procedures now being done by our dermatologist. We both noticed very different approaches, practices, cooling techniques, professionalism, knowledge and experience demonstrated by the dermatologist and his staff as compared to Yoak and his staff. The differences are extreme and definately made us very aware of just how lacking Yoak and his staff actually are in regards to laser treatments, skin healing, basic knowledge etc.
This is probably a waste of our time writing this on this site, because they probably will not post this and will likely just send this information to Dr. Yoak. It's only in fairness, based upon fact and personal experience that we are writing this. For the purpose of attempting to inform people who may be seeking laser treatments please read this: Do Not Use Dr. Matthew Yoak for Laser Treatments. Go to a Certified Dermatologist. Do not make the same mistake that we did. We trusted Dr. Yoak because he appeared to be a nice guy. Go to a Pro, forget about the nice guy who pretends to care. From our personal experience we can say that what he cares about is the money that you'll be paying him for the laser treatment. If you still choose to use Dr. Yoak, we recommend that you don't just sign all of the papers that his nurse pushes in front of you and says " You just need to sign these and we'll get started" Read their forms, some of them must be consent forms that basically give Dr. Yoak a way out after he screws up and scars you for the rest of your life.
We actually doubt that Yoak and his nurse are even properly certified on the Cutera Laser.
We should also mention here that the laser treatment fees of the Certified Dermatologist are less than what is charged by Dr. Yoak.
We really do wish that we would have been better informed and that we had initially went to the dermatologist for laser treatments instead of to a plastic surgeon.
