.

We went to see Dr. Rich due to a referral from our primary physician. My husband was having concerning GI symptoms which were chronic and unexplained otherwise.

Our appointment at the office was at 2pm, and we arrived at 1:45pm so we could fill out our paperwork. We waited and waited and waited. Finally, at approximately 3:15pm, I checked with the receptionist and was told that Dr. Rich was on call for the hospital that day, and apologized for the wait. We finally saw Dr. Rich at around 3:30pm.

The entire appointment was pretty uncomfortable. She repeatedly interrupted us, was frequently sarcastic, and often pooh-poohed information that we provided for her about my husband's symptoms. She recommended some nutso diet book for us, and then gave us a ton of additional diet requirements for helping my husband, telling us that he probably had a bacterial overgrowth and put him on antibiotics.

We dutifully bought the book, which contradicted every single diet requirement she'd given us separately, and no one in her office could recommend a type of probiotics for use with his antibiotic. The diet did no good and then we were out $25 for the book she recommended.

She did finally do an endoscopy and made it clear that everything seemed fine and made no attempts to come up with alternative treatments once her random antibiotic guess didn't work.

When we called for our records, her receptionist also asked for a referral to our new doctor because she was having similar GI problems for years and they had been unable to help!
