When one can actually get an appointment, this doctor is wonderful. He listens to you, explains things, and will answer questions no matter what. He is very knowledgable. When he feels he needs to have another opinion he will do a referal or even, I have had him call another doctor right during my appointment to get another opinion on something having to do with my needs-in this case it was further information about diabetic treatment. If all one had to do was deal with the doctor and not his office staff then I would recommend him as outstanding. However, his staff is either so overworked that they need lots of help or just not able or willing to be customer service oriented. Problems with getting someone to answer phone, return messages left-even urgent ones, and forgetting or losing information about appointments, and other requests made. They have even argued with me when a lost appointment resulted in me having to reschedule a surgery resulting in extra lost time at work and delay in getting the surgery - this was for a preop physical before a urologic proceedure. There were times that I was told to go to an urgent clinic or the er when I called in due to sickness needing attention that really was not at that point an emergency, because they indicated there was no way even in a couple of days that I could be seen. And of course when I went to the er after several attempts, the staff and doctors there wondered why I could not have seen my regular doctor and my insurance company at the time would not pay for the er visit because it was not an urgent or er matter. I will give a point for the last couple of days - I actually had my call answered promptly and return calls made within reasonable amount of time, and courtiousness to my needs a requests even if they could not do what I asked. I was shocked to say the least. My spouse and I both have been considering changing to another doctor's office.

I just changed from this doctor. When you can actually get an appointment to see Dr. Kordon, he is wonderful. He takes his time and explains everything to you, which is very hard to find these days. HOWEVER, I have been sick 3 times now and each time I was basically told by the admin staff that there was no way I could get an appointment. What is the point of a doctor if you can never see him? Also, just getting through the phone line is a feat in itself. The line is always busy or an answering machine picks up. Referrals are rarely completed without at least 2-3 calls. It is just not worth the hassle to go to this doctor, so I changed my PCP.

Pros: When you can see Dr. Kordon, he is great

Cons: Can never get appointments, referrals, etc. Admin staff
