Melvin, Teresa B, Md - Lake Norman Ob-Gyn

I didn't have a lot of experience with Dr. Melvin prior to the birth of my first child, when she was on-call for the delivery. She really came through for me during some minor complications, though.

This practice was recommended to me by a friend. Although some of the doctors are wonderful, others are not. Also, it is near impossible to get a hold of anyone after hours as their message system doesn't work right. Not only that, but after thinking that I passed a piece of placenta 3 weeks post partum I contacted them during office hours. 4 hours later I received a call back from a nurse and was told not to worry and that "hopefully it's all passed." Now, 6 weeks out I went in for my check up and voiced my concerns again. The doctor did an ultrasound because I pressed the issue. Sure enough, I have another piece. So, more complications. Luckily I was on antibiotics for other issues. I would never recommend this practice for anyone who is pregnant since you don't know who will deliver you when the time comes and you can't get a hold of anyone after hours.

I love this group of doctors, midwives and nurses. I had the best care last year during my pregnancy and birth of my son. I would recommend this group to anyone!
