Horrible experience at Rose Dental on Angus Rd. I made an appointment for a cleaning, and waited 3 weeks to be seen. Today was my appointment. I had x-rays done by an assistant (I asked and she wasn't a trained tech), then a hygienist came and looked at my mouth for 30 seconds and told me I didn't have gum disease. No surprise there because I take good care of my teeth and was only there for an annual cleaning. Then the dentist, Dr. Lewis, came in for about 2 minutes, went over my x-rays which were all fine and proclaimed me cavity free. Again, no surprise there. When they told me I was 'all done,' I was confused. I explained that I made an appointment to have my teeth cleaned. I was told I would have to schedule an appointment to have that done. I explained that I had and this was the appointment. Then, I was told that at Rose Dental the first appointment is never a cleaning because they have to determine 'what type of cleaning is necessary.' Really, people, is this rocket science? None of this was explained to me at the time I made my appointment. I explicitly asked to having a cleaning done and was led to believe that's why I was seeing the dentist. I complained to the Office Manager Julia and Dr. Lewis, and both seemed unphased by my disappointment. Neither was particularly apologetic and everyone in the office seemed surprised that I expected to have my teeth cleaned at my cleaning appointment. If you don't clean people's teeth on visit one Rose Dental, You Need to Let Them Know That especially if they expressly ask for a cleaning! The Office Manager and Dr. Lewis were completely unaccommodating. They didn't even try to fit me in later that afternoon. I took time off of work to have my teeth cleaned. I left without a cleaning and with a heap of aggravation! What a waste of time and energy. Avoid Rose Dental unless you have lots of free time to kill and a high threshold for nonsense and rudeness!
