I agree with Anonymous A. in that Dr. Jones is very nice but that he runs an assembly line dentistry. I had been seeing him for several years and all was well until I had to have some major work done. I had to have a bridge replaced and it took three tries before they finally got the permanent bridge right. I spent a total of, I would say 12 hours in dental chairs during four or five visits and saw very little of Dr. Jones himself. Most of the work done was by assistants, and I would say that many of them were inexperienced. In all my years of visiting dentists this was by far the most traumatic experience of all. If you want a dentist who is a nice man see Dr. Jones; if you want a dentist who takes time with his patients and does not assign most of his work to assistants I would advise seeing another dentist. I sure am going to.

Okay now I am going to give you the real skinny here. I am an veteran when it comes to experience with dental surgeries, problems and such. I choose this office based on reviews that he was such a nice man and he is a nice man. I am sure he was nice when it took me a month and a half to get in for an initial consultation when I told the staff that I needed to come in for fillings. He was a nice man when I had my exam and he told me I needed fillings and scheduled me a month out my appointment. He was a nice man when he told me I needed a root canal because it had taken too long to put in my filling. He was a nice man when I had to drive to Bakersfield to have the procedure done. He was a nice man when someone entered it in on the computer program that I needed work done on the other side of my mouth when I did not. He was a nice man when on a follow up visit the dental assistant argued with me that I did need a filling at that wrong location. He was a nice man when the dental hygienist injected me with too much Novocain up through my gums into my cheek next to my nose and made my eye numb. (Bonus if I needed work done to my cheekbone.) He was a nice man when he final showed up to my appointment an couldn't properly examine how my root canal was doing because I was already numb. He was a nice man when he performed the fillings and took no more than two seconds to check the bite even though I expressed problems with my bite when I am reclining during the initial visit. He was a nice man when he failed to take care of a dental facial filing on the other side of the tooth he was working on. He was a nice man when he didn't offer me a mirror. He was a nice man when he left before the work was through to have his assistant perform the rest of the work. (She was rough and unintuitive but maybe it was because the Novocain was injected in the wrong place that I was starting to feel it?) I am sure he was still a nice man when SIX hours later the pocket of chemicals in my cheek finally disappeared even though I was told it would take 2 hours. So if nice is what you want here is your fair warning. Other issues are : even though I didn't need work done on the other side of my mouth billing billed me as though I had done and skirted over it that it was the same amount. (WHO KNOWS? I don't trust them for obvious reasons.) He relies solely upon the x rays and whether you are having problems and does NO personal examination. There are no sinks for patients to rinse and spit in. REALLY?! You have to use a tube and they don't wash your mouth out well at all during procedure. I have never experienced this type of assembly line dental care that I saw here. If you need work done go somewhere else. I really wouldn't even recommend it if you don't need heavy work. My daughter went to a Bakersfield dentist who recommended a spacer for her mouth. This dentist completely ignored her need for preventative care. The office has all the latest equipment, it is clean and nice (probably because they can see so many patients and possibly because they over bill or cause more serious issues in the future to bill for?). But their is a serious lack of care and humanity here.

I was 16 when I went to Dr. Jones and it was the first big procedure that I needed done in my mouth so I was scared. Dr. Jones put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. He explained everthing that he was going to do and what I might feel afterward so that I would have the knowledge to not be afraid. While he worked on my teeth he told me about dental school and the classes he took and stuff to keep my mind off of my fear and had NO problem answering any questions that I had, and being afraid, I had a lot. At one point I started to fall asleep in the chair (even with the drilling!) and he had to wake me. That's how at ease I was there. His staff is also very friendly and basically catered to my cowardice. I am 24 now and the filling which is quite big is still in tact and going strong. Much better that Valley Family Dentistry who would rather have drugged me and knocked me out than answer my questions. My only wish is that my insurance covered me to go to him now. He would be my dentist of choice hands down!

Have gone to this dentist a couple of times now. They were great with my child. They tend to have great concern about your well being. Loved that. I would recommend them.

Dr. Jones office has a professional and pleasant staff. The waiting area and the stations are clean. The time you wait for your appointment is minimal. The hygienists are friendly. Dr. Jones has a gently hand when working on your teeth. We highly recommend him to everyone we know.
